NEW COMICS ARRIVING THURSDAY MAY 29th

Just a quick reminder that due to Diamond's offices and warehouses being closed for Memorial Day, the books will be arriving on Thursday and not Wednesday this week. We will have all the new books available and ready when we open the doors at 11 AM Thursday morning.

FINAL CRISIS KICKS OFF THIS WEEK!
Final Crisis #1 will be dropping this week, and holy crap, does it look good! Here is a link to the cover of #1. Grant Morrison described this as being the big end for a lot of what has been going on in the DCU for the last few years. While the last couple big events were a little lackluster, I think that Final Crisis is set to blow up, and be an amazing read. I highly recommend checking this out, if you have even the most remote interest in the DCU.

MARVEL: 1985 BEGINS!
Mark Millar, writer of Wanted, The Ultimates, Kick-Ass, Civil War, and so on and soforth, knows how to make an impact, and 1985 is shaping up to be the book that comes out of nowhere and turns EVERYONE'S heads! I know I, for one, am PSYCHED about this new series. The concept is in 1985, villains from the Marvel universe find a way into our world, and hijinx ensue! He's calling it the antithesis to Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross' Marvels. Basically, what happens when these fantastic and outrageous characters that can wipe out a few hundred thousand people in a blink, arrive here in the real world? Quirky? Yes. But it sounds AWESOME! Give it a look on Thursday.

GIANT-SIZE ASTONISHING X-MEN #1 WRAPS UP JOSS WHEDON'S REMARKABLE X-MEN RUN!
Also coming out this week is Giant-Size Astonishing X-Men #1. How long have we waited for this? At least a good few months, and you can bet your ass that it's going to be worth every second. Whedon and Cassaday wrap up their critically acclaimed X-Men run in this special issue.

BATMAN: RIP CONTINUES IN BATMAN #677!
The second part of the Batman R.I.P saga hits the shelves this week, and I think we're all wondering just what the heck is going on! I mean, come on, if you saw the last few pages of #676, you've gotta be scratching your heads... Luckily, part two comes out hot on the heels of part one. Grab it, and read it!

SECRET INVASION TIE-INs FOR THE WEEK!
And you know we always got our eyes peeled at Third Eye, so here's the lowdown on this week's Secret Invasion tie-ins. New Avengers #41 arrives with special guest artist Billy Tan! You know him most recently from the Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire Uncanny X-Men arc, and here's a chance to see his killer pencils in action. Spider-man, the Savage Land, and..Ka-zar? Or just another skrull? Also, dropping this Thursday is Ms. Marvel #27, and from what Marvel says in their adverts of the issue, something Secret Invasion-related happens to her that will make a splash.

KING SIZE HULK SPECIAL!
Art Adams, Frank Cho, drawing the Hulk. That's all that needs be said about this one-shot hitting stores on Thursday! Three all new stories!

Also, we will have our manga and anime section up by next week. Borders and Barnes and Nobles always sold out of that volume you need, or just don't plain have it? Come see us, we'll have it, and if it's not on the shelves, we're happy to special order it in for you! We'll be carrying a nice selection of the best manga, anime, and mooks. Our manga section should be up within the next two weeks.
