THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS @ THIRD EYE FOR THURSDAY 5/28/09!

WOLVERINE #72 *OLD MAN LOGAN CHAPTER 7* ARRIVES THIS THURSDAY AS ONE OF MARVEL'S MOST POPULAR STORY ARCS NEARS IT'S END!

It's OLD MAN LOGAN week! This is cause for celebration! This is the one comic that has ALL of us on the edge of our seat, eagerly awaiting each subsequent chapter, and when one of those show up.. we just flip out with excitement. After the big cliffhanger ending of issue #71, we've been anxious to find out just where the story is going to take us next, and as Logan has made his way to New Babylon... now, we get to find out just HOW the superheroes of the Marvel Universe bit the dust, and why the Red Skull is in such a big position of power. We know you guys are just as stoked as we are, and trust us, after seeing the first few preview pages... we know this one's gonna be one hell of a read!

For those of you not already reading Old Man Logan... here's the scoop on what's been Marvel's biggest story arc of 2008 and 2009... 50 Years in the future, Wolverine is no more. There is only Logan. A man who has dedicated his life to peace, and has had his claws sheathed for over 40 years due to an intense tragedy that occurred in his past (which is revealed in issue #70, and is one of THE best reveals in comics I've seen in a very long time). Picture this, all the Marvel superheroes are dead, dinosaurs roam the earth (they were used for a short period of time as luxury pets exported from the Savage Land, but when civilization fell, ran wild), Dr. Doom controls half of the United States, yes, this series is AMAZING! If you haven't read it yet, catch up this week at Third Eye, as we have all of the issues back in stock! Click here for a preview of WOLVERINE #72 *OLD MAN LOGAN PT 7*

AMERICAN SON BEGINS THIS WEEK INAMAZING SPIDER-MAN #595 - SPIDEY GETS A RETURN TO GLORY IN THIS EXCITING NEW DARK REIGN TIE-IN STORY ARC!

It's been a good long while since we've been extremely excited for a new story arc in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, in fact, it's probably been since the John Romita JR NEW WAYS TO DIE arc that we got really excited about AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, but now with the beginning of this week's new AMERICAN SON storyline, we are totally pumped. First off, the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN title is finally being integrated back into the normal continuity of the Marvel universe. Yeah, we know it never really "left", but the anthology-style format, and inconsistent creative teams have made the book feel detached from current continuity. But, with the new AMERICAN SON storyline, the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN title is being tightly wound back in with the mainstream 616 fabric of the Marvel Universe. How so?

Well, it's Peter Parker aka Spider-man finally throwing off the gloves, and going full force after Norman Osborn. Life is sucking hard for ol' Spidey, and he's decided that it's time to get on his feet, and save the world by going after Norman Osborn, his old nemesis, who is now the acting leader of the DARK AVENGERS (as Iron Patriot). Anyone who's even remotely a Spidey fan knows the history between Osborn and Spidey, and how deep their feud runs. It's as classic as Batman vs. Joker, and we've been waiting for the arc where they actually have Spidey responding to the craziness of what's happening in the pages of all the DARK REIGN stuff. And, as for the title character? American Son? Who is this? We're taking our best guess that it's Harry Osborn, and we think that's a pretty awesome direction for the story to take.

Other reasons why American Son is going to be completely and totally awesome? Other than the fact that it's the Spidey story arc that we've all been waiting for, it's got one hell of a creator team on it... Joe Kelly, who is the man responsible for making the DEADPOOL character who he is today in his classic late '90s Deadpool ongoing series (which is available in trade paperback format here at Third Eye under the title DEADPOOL CLASSIC v.2 ), and we know that Kelly's knack for witty dialogue and talent at spinning a compelling yarn will definitely flesh out Spidey. And for the art duties, it's got the amazing pencils of Phil Jiminez, who has worked on classic hits like INFINITE CRISIS, and part of Morrison's NEW X-MEN run.

As you can see, now is the best time you could possibly jump onto Spidey, and AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #595 is the perfect place to hop aboard. Whether you're an old school Spidey fan, or you're hooked on the current run of DARK REIGN madness, you should give this one a peek. GREEN LANTERN #41 *AGENT ORANGE PT 3* CONTINUES THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED ROAD TO THIS SUMMER'S BLACKEST NIGHT! PLUS, ALL CHAPTERS OF RAGE OF THE RED LANTERNS and AGENT ORANGE NOW IN STOCK! PLENTY OF FREE BLACKEST NIGHT #0s STILL AVAILABLE!

Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps have been some of the consistently most awesome series we've been following. It's just plain well-crafted, straight forward super-hero meets space opera storytelling that has remained one of the most consistent storyline in the DC Universe for the last few years. Geoff Johns has crafted an epic, and the cohesion between his run on Green Lantern, and Tomasi's run on Green Lantern Corps has been top notch. Solid storytelling, top notch art, and a great sense of direction has gotten us more and more stoked about where the series is heading with this summer's Blackest Night, which is going to be one of THE stories to follow in comics this year.

The third chapter in Johns's AGENT ORANGE story arc which as a whole has been leading into Johns's Blackest Night arc will be hitting this Wednesday. And, along with it, we are getting back the first two chapters of AGENT ORANGE back in stock. We had 'em here for a while (cause you know that Third Eye is big on making sure we have plenty of copies to keep you guys caught up) , but due to overwhelming demand, the issues went out of print, and were unavailable for re-order... UNTIL NOW! And Third Eye's got em, so if you need to catch up. We got your back! And, this week in the new ish of GL #41 *AGENT ORANGE PT 3*, we get to see how Hal's dealing with his newfound abilities, and the Orange Lantern's quest for conquest!

It's An Ennis Week at Third Eye, Four Of This Great Writer's Series Hit The Racks This Thursday!

GARTH ENNIS (writer of THE BOYS) CONTINUES HIS TWISTED SURVIVAL HORROR MAXISERIES WITH CROSSED #5 THIS THURSDAY!

We love Garth Ennis here at Third Eye. It's no secret. The man is one of our favorite writers, and he's got an incredible ability for shocking a reader's sensibilities, and pushing their boundaries while at the same time delivering a well-told, well-written story. He grosses you out, makes you uneasy, but at the same time, his characters (as demonstrated in PREACHER, and THE BOYS) are so well fleshed out that you really become attached to them. I guess the point we're trying to make is that the man doesn't just deliver the big shockout stuff without some substance to it. And, his survival horror tale from Avatar, CROSSED, has been a shining testament to this. Okay, CROSSED is horrifying. It's one of the most disturbing tales I've seen in any medium (comics, film, ect), but it's not the obvious gross-outs that get you, but the subtle ones. We really have no idea what to expect next in this series, as every issue has been full of some thrilling twists and turns, but we know one thing is for sure: it's going to leave us waiting for more.

Haven't read Crossed yet? We've got plenty of issues #0-#4 in stock, and will have plenty of #5 in stock on Thursday, for you to get caught up. What's the back story? Picture this, a post-apocalyptic tale where the planet has been completely decimated by a disease that turns those infected into relentless, sadistic, homicidal maniacs. It's kind of like a zombie story, but not... see, these people are NOT undead, they are just infected humans who still have all of their brainpower intact. This means that they can get pretty inventive in the horrible ways they terrorize the landscape. The story has us following a group of survivors trying to well, survive, in this horrible new world. The Crossed (the term for those infected) are pretty much pure evil, plain and simple. And, they will spread their disease however they can.. if they don't kill you first!

To read more about CROSSED, click here to check out an interview with Ennis and series artist Jacen Burrows.

BACK TO BROOKLYN CONCLUDES THIS WEEK WITH BACK TO BROOKLYN #5!

Another fantastic Ennis limited series that we've been following here at Third Eye has been the incredible Back to Brooklyn, which gives us Ennis's take on Organized Crime. That's right, it's Scorcese by way of Garth Ennis, and we've been very impressed with the entire run. The story is about one wiseguy who goes snitch to get his family out of Brooklyn before a huge crime war breaks out between the Italian, Jamaican, and Russian mafias. The police cannot get them out, so after arranging for a deal, he makes it his mission to go back into Brooklyn one last time to get his family. Of course, he's got the biggest target on his head out of everyone. This one has been a wild ride, and every issue has added another disturbing layer to this gritty, true crime-style world that Ennis has constructed for us. All we can say, is are you guys prepared for one of the bloodiest finales in comic book history? We know we are! Click here for a preview of BACK TO BROOKLYN #5 (note: it's a comic book resources preview, so the link may not redirect properly)

BATTLEFIELDS: TANKIES #2CONTINUES THE BEST OF ENNIS'S WAR STORIES YET!

One thing that Ennis does well is war stories. You can tell that the man has a genuine affection for the genre, and he really does put his heart and soul into the researching and telling of these tales. Ennis does not shy away from the gruesome horrors of war, and this current series, TANKIES, started off the first issue as one of the most bloody of what he's done in the others yet, in our opinion. The tale? A British tank squad caught behind enemy lines during The Battle of Normandy. It's just them, and their tank, as they try to re-unite with their unit. While we really enjoyed both Night Witches and Dear Billy, it's Tankies that we think is going to stand out as our favorite of the Ennis war tales. And, part of this might be due to the awesome pencils of Carlos Ezquerra (who told many, many classic 2000AD & Judge Dredd tales way back when, but is more known over here for his collaborations with Ennis on tales like JUST A PILGRIM), who brings the horrific reality of a tank being blown to scrap metal into horrifying reality. Click here to check out a preview of BATTLEFIELDS: THE TANKIES #2 (it's a comic book resources preview, so the link may not redirect properly)

THE PRO NOW BACK IN STOCK AT THIRD EYE, A MUST FOR FANS OF "THE BOYS"

Before Ennis was telling his twisted take on superheroes, and the people who's job it is to keep them in line with THE BOYS, he did a relatively unknown one-shot called THE PRO with Amanda Conner. This twisted little one-shot is all about a hooker who gets superpowers from a mysterious alien to prove that you know, every human being has the potential of doing good. Of course, the real reason he does it is because he's a creepy perv and wants to follow her around in her superhero outfit. And, then things just get completely zany when the Justice League of Honor shows up to recruit her into the fold. This is Ennis at his best, with a shocking dark comedy that delivers all sorts of entertaining satire. But, in pure Ennis style, he manages to deliver one of his heartfelt morality plays in the confines of this hilarious story. A must read for fans of THE BOYS, if you haven't read it yet, give THE PRO a shot this week as we've got it back in stock!

DARK REIGN FORECAST: THE HOOD DEBUTS IN HIS NEW LIMITED SERIES, DARK REIGN: THE HOOD #1, NEW AVENGERS #53 CONTINUES THE SEARCH FOR THE NEW SORCERER SUPREME, AVENGERS INITIATIVE #24"INITIATIVE DISASSEMBLED", ELEKTRA CONTINUES TO SLAY INDARK REIGN ELEKTRA #3 & MUCH MORE!

It is one heck of a great week for those of us following the exciting events of Marvel's DARK REIGN crossover. First off, everyone's favorite flagship Marvel title, NEW AVENGERS #53 , hits the rack this week with the third chapter of WHO IS THE NEW SORCERER SUPREME? Things are really starting to heat up as we near the discovery of who will be taking on the mantle of Master of the Mystic Arts in the Marvel Universe. I think it goes without saying that NEW AVENGERS remains one of the most consistently solid and entertaining Marvel ongoing series, month in and month out, so of course, we're stoked.

Next up, is the launch of a limited series we're EXTREMELY pumped for, and that's the DARK REIGN: THE HOOD #1 , which explores one of the most exciting Marvel characters introduced in this decade. The Hood, who was originally created by BRIAN K VAUGHN (the extremely talented writer behind Y THE LAST MAN, RUNAWAYS and EX MACHINA), was introduced as a normal crook who just happened to come into possession of a magical cloak that gave him many unusual abilities. Even with those abilities, he continued to pack heat, and employ the tactics he'd always done. Instead of using the cloak to become a crazy supervillain, and take on superheroes, he used it to make himself rich. It was revealed that the cloak is actually the demonic entity Dormammu, and we've seen the Hood rise into being one heck of an interesting characters in the last few years. Bendis really made him stand out in the NEW AVENGERS: The Trust storyline (available in trade paperback, NEW AVENGERS v.7) from a couple years ago, where in the aftermath of CIVIL WAR, he united all the 2nd rate supervillains into a cunning criminal outfit. Calling himself the new Kingpin of Crime, the Hood has played a crucial role in the events of DARK REIGN, and in this new limited series, we get an insight into the motivations and machinations of the character. The thing that really made him an interesting read when he was introduced was how he was just a common crook from a troubled background. His mother on the verge of being senile, his partner in crime being wrapped up in addiction, and his pregnant girlfriend who he kept his dirty deeds a secret from, all helped flesh the character out as more than just another villain. After having been developed into the most interesting criminal mastermind in the Marvel universe we've seen in a long time, we now get to see how the Hood balances his personal life, being a father, and more, with the fact that he's the figurehead of the Marvel Universe's criminal underworld. One thing we know is that the book will be bringing in a lot of Marvel characters we haven't seen or heard from in a while, which is pretty exciting in itself. Not to mention, it's got the artist of the original Hood series, Kyle Hotz, doing the pencils, and his work perfectly fits the character. This limited series looks to deliver the kind of conflicted, noir-influenced storytelling that we all love here at Third Eye, while at the same time dishing out the goods on one of DARK REIGN's major players.

And then, finally, hitting this week, we've got the next installment of INITIATIVE DISASSEMBLED inAVENGERS: INITIATIVE #24 , as well as the follow-ups to the current Dark Reign happenings in DARK REIGN: ELEKTRA #3 (which has been surprisingly awesome), and the second issue in the new Ms. Marvel direction (where Moonstone is now the title character), in dark MS. MARVEL #39 . Also, who could forget, the exciting WEAPON XI storyline nears it's conclusion in WOLVERINE ORIGINS #36 as we gear up for DARK WOLVERINE.

THE BATTLE FOR THE COWL AFTERMATH EXPLORED IN THIS WEEK'S BATTLE FOR THE COWL,GOTHAM GAZETTE: BATMAN ALIVE!

Battle for the Cowl had a GREAT ending last week, and we're very pleased with who the new Batman looks to be. While we'll avoid letting any spoilers slip, we will say that we are really happy they went the way they did with it, and we're totally stoked for this summer with all the exciting new BATMAN books hitting the racks. This nice little endcap one-shot that serves as the companion piece to the GOTHAM GAZETTE: BATMAN DEAD one-shot that kicked off the whole BATTLE FOR THE COWL story looks like an exciting read. Four ordinary people, Harvey Bullock, Vicki Vale, Dr. Leslie Thompkins, and Stephanie Brown, all reflect on where they fit into the grand scheme of things in this new Gotham where a new Caped Crusader has risen up to be it's guardian. How does Gotham deal with the arrival of it's new Batman? Find out this week in GOTHAM GAZETTE: BATMAN ALIVE! . To check out a preview, click here!

ALIENS MAKES A BIG RETURN TO AWESOMENESS THIS WEEK WITH DARK HORSE'S NEW "ALIENS" LIMITED SERIES!

One thing I remember fondly growing up as a kid obsessed with comics, and monster movies, was stumbling upon all the whacked out ALIENS comics that Dark Horse put out. Sure, it was a mixed bag as to what was good, and what was crap. But, the coolest thing in the world was hitting up the spinner rack at the Metro video store in Marketplace mall, and snagging up some gruesome tale of everyone's favorite insect-like Aliens. The franchise has been pretty dead in comic book format (aside from some of the killer omnibus editions Dark Horse has been putting out), but, the time is finally right for a grand return to awesomeness with this week's brand new ALIENS limited series kicking off. Why are we so stoked on this, and think it's gonna be a killer read?

Well, it's the writer of all those consistently killer BPRD series we've been digging, John Arcudi, and it's got some really stellar art by a relatively unknown new comer, Zach Howard. And, lets face it, it's balls to the wall ALIENS awesomeness that's got everything you know and love about the franchise. Surly Space Marines and Deadly Monsters. We really think this one's gonna be a fun read for any fans of the franchise, and personally, can't wait to check it out this week. Click here for a preview of ALIENS #1!

ULTIMATE WOLVERINE VS. HULK #6CONCLUDES THE BLODDY BATTLE OF THE CENTURY FROM TV'S "LOST" CO-CREATOR DAMON LINDELOFF AND SECRET INVASION ARTIST LENIL YU

While the wait for issue #3 was an incredibly long period of time, we've got to say, we're so happy that this series got back on schedule. It's definitely one of the coolest reads we've followed, and we're so glad to see it being wrapped up properly. I mean, come on, the series starts out with Wolverine being contracted by Nick Fury to kill The Hulk, Wolverine finding The Hulk holed up in a Tibetan mountainside with his own harem of women, and then getting ripped in half by The Hulk, only to have his torso and legs thrown 7 miles apart. And this week, we get the final chapter in this battle of brutality, as Fury's coming in to clean up Logan's mess. AND, we're gonna see how in the heck Wolverine's gonna piece himself back together after being literally torn in two. Finally, we haven't even touched on the big draw: it's the showdown between Wolverine and Hulk, and we get to see every brutal, bloody page of it in this week's ULTIMATE WOLVERINE VS HULK #6! Click here to read more about ULTIMATE WOLVERINE VS. HULK #6!

WARREN ELLIS'S IGNITION CITY #3CONTINUES ELLIS'S AWESOME GRIMY TWIST ON RETRO SPACE HEROES IN A DYING WORLD

Another favorite writer of our's here at Third Eye is Warren Ellis, and while he's always consistent in delivering some great reads, we've been really impressed with his newest AVATAR series, IGNITION CITY. This one is a very cool little yarn that's like the HBO series DEADWOOD meets BUCK ROGERS. He's taking old school science fiction icons, and basically acting as if the world they lived in hit a ceiling, and stopped developing. What you've got left is a bunch of broken down starpilots, and space heroes boozing it up and dwelling in depressing homes made of rusty old rocket ships. This one's a neat little apocalyptic trip through a retro world where jetpacks, rayguns, and high adventure all existed, but took a turn for the worst as time went on. Imagine Flash Gordon as an alcoholic, and rayguns used to scorch the flesh from bone in barroom arguments. And this week, the third issue hits, so we know you guys are stoked to get your next fix of this great series! Click here to read the Wikipedia entry on IGNITION CITY.

STARCRAFT GETS IT'S OWN COMIC SERIES COURTESY OF WILDSTORM THIS WEEK WITH STARCRAFT #1!

We here at Third Eye grew up by the glow of our computer monitors, and we remember the days before the massively-multiplayer online games, and awesomeness of things like X-BOX Live. If you wanted a compelling, and addictive online game experience, you had a few choices to go with, but one of the ones we always kept coming back to was Blizzard software's STARCRAFT series. This game that riffed on things like WH40K, provided us with countless hours of fear at the words: zerg rush. So, we have to admit, we are completely and utterly stoked about the release of the new Starcraft ongoing series that explores all the aspects of the Starcraft universe, beginning with the story of the WarPigs, a disbanded unit of outlaws out to assassinate Jim Raynor. This one's actually got a pretty solid creative team penning it with Keith Giffen (the man who helped shape ANNIHILATION with Abnett and Lanning), Simon Furman (the man responsible for tons of killer Transformers comics), and some killer art by a newcomer we haven't seen before. Click here to read more about STARCRAFT #1

MESSIAH WAR CONTINUES WITH X-FORCE #15 *MESSIAH WAR CHAPTER 5* THIS THURSDAY!

The Messiah War has been one of the best X-MEN stories we've read since well, Messiah Complex, itself! This follow-up to Messiah Complex has been fantastic, and it goes to show why X-FORCE is our favorite monthly X-MEN series (the creative team behind X-FORCE, Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle have been in charge of the direction of this arc). Now, as we learn what the fate of mutantkind's last Hope may be, and Stryfe gets closer to realizing his goals, Bishop's gonna have to make his move. And, Archangel is left to make a pivotal decision that will impact the entirety of X-FORCE. Click here to read X-FORCE #15 *MESSIAH WAR CHAPTER 5*

THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS @ THIRD EYE COMICS

BATTLE FOR THE COWL #3 CONCLUDES, AND UNVEILS THE WINNER OF THIS EPIC CONTEST FOR WHO'LL BE WEARING THE COWL!

The big one this week that's going to be the talk of the shop is the conclusion to the BATTLE FOR THE COWL event that's been running through the Batman corner of the DC Universe. It's been a great storyline so far, and we've actually been extremely impressed with a good deal of the one-shots (especially THE UNDERGROUND, THE NETWORK, and the conclusion to the AZRAEL series which we weren't too hot on at first, but thought it ended pretty well). It all comes to a head this Wednesday with the arrival of this week's BATTLE FOR THE COWL #3! This is the big one, and will show us who will be filling the role of the Caped Crusader in Bruce Wayne's absence (well, he's dead, or displaced in the timestream, or something weird.. but, we all know how those things play out!).

Is it going to be Dick Grayson (we think so!), Jason Todd (oh, we hope not!), Tim Drake (could be cool, but a little too soon..), Two-Face (hey, he's worn the cowl before...), or someone totally unexpected? We don't know, but we're on the edges of our seats to find out who's going to be taking on the role of the Gotham Guardian.

For those of you who may have missed the first couple issues of BATTLE FOR THE COWL, fear not, we've got plenty of #1 back in stock, and still have a nice amount of #2 left for you to catch up on this monumental mini-series that sets the stage for the DCU in 2009!

WOLVERINE: WEAPON X #2 ARRIVES FROM RISING STAR "SCALPED" WRITER JASON AARON, AND GIVES US CHAPTER TWO OF THE KILLER NEW "ADAMANTIUM MEN" STORY ARC!

When the OLD MAN LOGAN storyline began last Summer, we were blown away. Wolverine was a character that had been over-exposed for a while, and we were looking for the perfect fresh take on the character to make him interesting. And OLD MAN LOGAN, definitely did that. So, then, it's decided, that it's time for a new Wolverine ongoing series. At first, I was skeptical, but then I saw the creative team attached.. Jason Aaron, and Ron Garney. These guys did a terrific sleeper story called GET MYSTIQUE in Wolverine a couple of years ago, and I was really impressed with how well Aaron "got" Wolverine as a character. I was sold. And, when the first issue hit, I gotta say, my expectations were met, and exceeded. It was a fantastic read! So, before we get into the hype on this week's new WOLVERINE: WEAPON X #2, let me give you guys who haven't checked it out yet the quick concept of the book.

Basically, Wolverine: Weapon X is Marvel allowing Jason Aaron (who writes the awesomely gritty and grimy SCALPED Vertigo series) to take the character in a very PUNISHER MAX-like (Garth Ennis's character-defining Punisher run) direction. This means that you get the essence of Wolverine boiled down to what everyone loves about him. The quiet loner with the shadowy past who doesn't think twice about putting his claws through the back of a man's skull. It's bloody, it's brutal, and it's brilliant. Best of all, it's self-contained into one ongoing series, and is the perfect book to follow if you just want a good old-fashioned WOLVERINE story that's not bogged down by his appearances throughout the rest of the Marvel universe. The stories are of a darker theme, and explore his past with the Weapon X program, giving us the return of fan-favorite characters like Maverick, and more. And, Aaron, who is known for the hardcore tone in his writing, is bringing in new and old villains alike to get everyone stoked on this great series. Not to mention, his portrayal of Wolverine, along with Ron Garney's fitting pencils, make the book a very fluid, fun read.

And, now, onto what we can expect this Wednesday... the first issue of WOLVERINE WEAPON X was a set-up issue, it introduces the idea of the ADAMANTIUM MEN (the primary nemesis and main plot-point of the first story arc), a group of super-soldiers being laced with Adamantium and given claws by the Roxxon Corporation. Wolverine makes his debut in the first issue in classic Wolverine fashion (hey, he's even wearing the classic bomber jacket)... and how does he do that? He cuts some crook's hand off at the wrist, leaving him to bleed out on a subway train. The conspiracy theories abound, and now as we head into issue #2, we get to learn just who and what the Adamantium Men are.

Do yourselves a favor, and do not miss the second installment of WOLVERINE: WEAPON X this Wednesday! Click here to check out a preview of WOLVERINE: WEAPON X #2!

THE BOYS HEROGASM #1 - GARTH ENNIS GIVES US THIS BOYS SPIN-OFF LIMITED SERIES THAT SHOWS US HIS TAKE ON CROSSOVER EVENTS!

Every self-respecting superhero universe has big events. It's a staple of comics. Sometimes they're amazing, and sometimes they leave a little to be desired, but it's a foundation of serial superhero fiction. And, Third Eye favorite writer, Garth Ennis, is giving us his own take on big events with the brand new BOYS: HEROGASM limited series. The series is being written by Garth Ennis (the mastermind behind the BOYS, and the man responsible for the amazing PREACHER series), and long-time Ennis collaborator John McCrea. For a lot of you who've just gotten into Ennis, you may not be too familiar with McCrea, but let me tell you, he and Ennis have done some amazing work together. They did the awesome, and often overlooked HITMAN series (which is going to finally be available in trade paperback again very soon), as well as several other great projects. We're really looking forward to them working together again.

Now, onto what Herogasm is about. This is the story of what really happens during crossover events. What do the superheroes do when no one's looking? And what insidious ties do the Vought-American corporation have to this. This one looks to be featuring more on the despicable capes of THE BOYS (the Seven, Teenage Kix, Fantastico, and more), and for those of you who are enjoying THE BOYS, you're gonna love HEROGASM. Ennis will definitely be delivering his twisted sense of humor, and unique storytelling in this great limited series. Click here to read more about THE BOYS: HEROGASM #1 (it's a COMIC BOOK RESOURCES link, so it may not work, and the art pages shown are only in black and white but the series is going to be in full color)!

FANTASTIC FOUR #566 BEGINS MARK MILLAR'S "MASTERS OF DOOM" STORYLINE!

This is the big one, folks. Millar has been leading up to this story arc with his entire FF run, and man, we're pumped. It feels like it's taken a little long to get to this point, probably because of some delays in shipping on several issues of FF (due to Bryan Hitch's amazing artwork, maybe?), but it's finally here. I read the retailer preview this past Saturday, and I have to say, it's a great kick-off. Millar has been very cagey about how it all relates, but apparently, his Fantastic Four run, his OLD MAN LOGAN run, and his epic 1985 mini-series from last year all connect together in some shape or form, and we here at Third Eye are thinking that the MASTERS OF DOOM is going to be a big part of what connects the three.

For the past few issues of FF, there's been a pair of mysterious strangers showing up and wreaking havoc, and now in this week's #566, the Master of Doom, comes forward to see how Victor Von Doom has been progressing. What'd you have to look forward to? Well, some of you may consider this spoilers, so we'll white out the text, to read, just highlight with your mouse cursor: first off, THE WATCHER is DEAD! Who would've thought those guys could even be taken out? Secondly, Doom's master isn't too pleased with his progress... and there's some conflict going on there. Plus, there's a ton of other great moments that look to set up this epic storyline. So, be sure to give the Fanastic Four #566 a look this Wednesday. DARK REIGN FORECAST: PUNISHER #5 CONTINUES THE AWESOME NEW ONGOING PUNISHER SERIES! AGENTS OF ATLAS #5 CONTINUES TO IMPRESS! HICKMAN'S DARK REIGN FANTASTIC FOUR #3 HITS HARD AND THUNDERBOLTS #132 BEGINS NEW STORY ARC!

Dark Reign continues to keep us hooked week after week, and one of our favorite of the new ongoing series launched out of Dark Reign, the new Punisher series, will be hitting the racks this week. Rick Remender, and Jerome Opena have really taken the ball and ran with it in this amazing series. They've taken the character, and done what's been impossible to do for many years, and that's integrating him into the mainstream 616 Marvel universe. Between Opena's fresh, gritty pencils, and Remender's great approach to the character (a combination of Ennis's gritty take with the old school flavor of the classic '80s Punisher stuff), this series has had us loving it. It's The Punisher vs. the Hood, and he's going to kill him or die trying! I mean, come on, the Punisher's decked out with an old Ant-Man helmet, Hawkeye's old bow and arrow, and a variation of the Cap shield... and somehow, someway, this WORKS. Don't miss the conclusion to the first story arc this Wednesday in PUNISHER #5! And, if you want to jump aboard the series, don't worry, Third Eye's got your back. We still have plenty of the first four issues in stock!

Also, on the schedule for Dark Reign this week, we've got the sleeper hit AGENTS OF ATLAS #5 where the Agents of Atlas go head to head with the NEW AVENGERS, which gives us the quirkiest team the Marvel universe has ever known (Well, outside of NEXTWAVE), and THUNDERBOLTS #132 begins new story arc begins in the red-hot THUNDERBOLTS title that's been impressing the hell out of us ever since Andy Diggle took over with issue #126. In this new arc, it looks like the Thunderbolts are out to recruit one of Wolverine's deadly, older foes, Mr. X.

Finally, one of the biggest surprises, rising star writer Jonathan Hickman delivers the goods with the brand new DARK REIGN: FANTASTIC FOUR #3 . Even with a great writer like Hickman heading up the title, we were a little skeptical at first. Because, lets face it, there's a TON of limited series that spark up during these big events, and not all of them feel like essential reading. HOWEVER, Hickman's Dark Reign Fantastic Four mini has been one of the most fun reads we've been following. Finally, SKRULL KILL KREW #2 brings us what everyone wants? Skrulls getting blown the heck up!

So, as you guys can see, it's going to be a great week for Dark Reign stuff!

PLANET SKAAR PROLOGUE: SKAAR IS COMING HOME TO EARTH, AND HE'S LOOKING FOR HIS POPS!

Skaar, the Son Of Hulk, has been a fantastic, and consistent read. It's been a Hulk meets Conan kind of read, as we get more Planet Hulk-esque goodness every month. And now, the big one's brewing, as Skaar is coming to Earth, and he's got one thing on his mind: he wants to go head to head with dear old dad, the Hulk. What's going to happen when these two green giants go head to head, and the planet Earth is stuck in the middle? How does the rest of the Marvel Universe feel about this? Will this be the final culmination of the events of PLANET HULK, and WORLD WAR HULK? Marvel's been kind of tight-lipped on the details, but we're pumped. And the creative team is looking pretty awesome, as we get Greg Pak (the man behind PLANET HULK, plus a slew of other great reads), and RON LIM (one of the most renowned Silver Surfer artists of days gone past) deliver the goods on this one-shot setting up for the new Planet Skaar storyline that's going to be a must-read for HULK fans this summer.

DYNAMITE DEBUTS COMPLETE DRACULA #1 THIS WEDNESDAY AND IT LOOKS AWESOME!

Dynamite has a great reputation for taking classic characters and breathing fresh new life into them, and the new COMPLETE DRACULA series looks like it's going to be awesome. This is the complete story of Dracula, the one that Bram Stoker intended to tell over a century ago, and this includes, "Dracula's Guest." A beautifully illustrated gothic masterpiece, this one looks like it's going to be a solid read where the blood flows freely, and the Lord of the Undead is given all the creepy, eerie kinds of treatment that you'd want. I'm personally stoked for this series, because as a kid, I loved Horror comics. Especially the ones that took all the classic characters I knew well from the old Universal flicks, and Hammer horror films, and expanded on their stories. This one looks to be a fantastic combination of that old school horror comics vibe with the high level of new school artwork, and storytelling that's become the standard in comic books these days. The tone, and mood of the series looks perfect.

HULK #12 *OFFENDERS VS. DEFENDERS WAR PT 3* BRINGS MORE BIGGER THAN LIFE COMIC BOOK ACTION THIS WEDNESDAY!

The current HULK series falls into a strange yet lovable place for comicdom. The storytelling isn't complex, and sometimes, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, BUT, it delivers on that primal big monsters and superhumans smashing the hell out of each other kind of level. It's pure Jack Kirby-fueled fun the way that old school comics tended to be, but with a nice breath of modern air breathed into the story. The thing that makes this book really pop, and really work well, is that the artist line-up has been consistently incredible for the entire series. Right now, Ed McGuiness has been doing the current Offenders vs. Defenders arc, and we gotta admit.. it's pretty killer. I mean, Tiger Shark, Baron Mordo, Terrax and Red Hulk going head to head with Silver Surfer, Hulk, Dr. Strange, and Namor makes for some smash-em up over the top comic book awesomeness. Click here for a preview of HULK #12 OFFENDERS vs. DEFENDERS WAR PT 3!

CAPTAIN AMERICA HITS LANDMARK ISSUE THIS WEEK WITH CAPTAIN AMERICA #50!

A big landmark for Marvel will be made this Wednesday as the current run on Captain America hits #50. The awesome thing about this is that Ed Brubaker has been penning the series for the entire 50 issues of the run, and it really shows. He's developed so many supporting characters in Cap's background, as well as breathed fresh air into classic Cap villains throughout the course of the 50 issues. Not to mention, the direction the book has taken since Bucky has become the new Captain America has been so freaking good. Bucky makes a compelling Cap, because without the same super soldier serum that kept Steve Rogers out of harm's way, he's much more vulnerable and, sometimes, more easier to relate to than Steve Rogers. When he falls out of a second story window, ribs crack. When he throws the shield with his bionic arm, he can feel the tendons come close to ripping. We HIGHLY recommend going back and snagging the trade paperbacks that collect Brubaker's run, as you're missing out on what's some of the best Marvel Comics goodness coming out today if you don't. And now, after 50 issues, Brubaker gives us one heck of a warm, heartfelt story focusing on Bucky. I won't say too much, as I don't want to spoil anything (and no, Steve Rogers does not return in this issue), but it's a great stand-alone issue that would be a good spot to hop aboard the monthly Captain America series.

WATCHMEN & PHILOSOPHY ARRIVES THIS WEDNESDAY AT THIRD EYE!

Here's a very cool book that we're going to be getting in here at Third Eye this Wednesday. "WATCHMEN & PHILOSOPHY" gives us several essays and articles on the philosophy behind the story, the characters, and the world it's set in. Everything from how Rorschach justifies his brutal brand of justice to the relationship between Silk Specter and her mother. It's just an interesting sounding concept for a book, and hey, I love it when people see the depth and meat in great stories like WATCHMEN. I haven't read anything from the book yet (as there were no preview pages or anything available upon ordering), but from what I've read about the book it sounds like the author (or authors) tackles the subject very well. Here's a link to an article about the book.

WARREN ELLIS'S HOTWIRE #3 BRINGS MORE CYBERPUNK GHOSTBUSTING ACTION THIS WEDNESDAY!

Radical Publishing has been dropping our jaw with every new release they put out (and if you haven't already checked out CITY OF DUST, and CALIBER, we'd highly recommend giving them a read), and when they announced they were going to be putting out a series by a Third Eye favorite, Warren Ellis, we were pumped. Hotwire is all about a future where the existence of paranormal activities (you know, ghosts, spirits, possessions, and all that fun stuff) is accepted as scientific fact. And because of this, of course, there's a need for paranormal police officers. This is where Hotwire, Detective Exorcist, comes into play. She's the cop on the force that's shunned by many of her co-workers, but, she's the one who has what it takes to keep all these angry ghosts at bay. It's one part Ghost Busters, one part police drama, and one part cyberpunk. And, in this week's third issue, the conspiracy to infest the city with a plague of crazy, whacked out ghouls and other nasties comes into full play. Click here to check out a preview of HOTWIRE REQUIEM FOR THE DEAD #3! And, don't worry, if you missed issues one and two.. we got plenty in stock to catch you up!

THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS @ THIRD EYE!

GREEN LANTERN CORPS #36*PRELUDE TO BLACKEST NIGHT* OUT THIS WEDNESDAY!

The Green Lantern titles have been picking up more and more steam with every issue, and we've been preaching the awesomeness of this series since the doors of Third Eye opened. Now, with things starting to come to a head, and Blackest Night right around the corner, it's the perfect time to catch up on your Green Lantern, and Green Lantern Corps! This week, we're going to see the conclusion to Emerald Eclipse, which has been part of the big Prelude to Blackest Night running through Green Lantern Corps. The planet of Oa is going down in flames, baby, and that's just the beginning of the trouble awaiting the Corps! To pick up the first three installments of Emerald Eclipse/Prelude to Blackest Night, you need not look any further than your pals here at Third Eye, as we've got issues #33,#34, and #35 all well-stocked for you to check out. Click here for a preview of GREEN LANTERN CORPS #36 *PRELUDE TO BLACKEST NIGHT*

WOLVERINE #73 OUT BEFORE WOLVERINE #72.. Read More Below To Find Out The Whole Scoop! Including a prelude to DARK WOLVERINE

In a complete and total WTF moment... Marvel has decided to release WOLVERINE #73 before the release of WOLVERINE #72. Okay, okay, the reason being is because they wanted to have a stand-alone story in between the previous chapter of OLD MAN LOGAN and the conclusion that will follow in WOLVERINE #72 and WOLVERINE OLD MAN LOGAN GIANT-SIZE special. I know, it's a totally stupid idea, and it's just as much of a headache for us here at Third Eye as it is for you guys, but, before you get your pitchforks and prepare your torches for Wolverine #73, lets get a quick rundown on what the issue is about. Trust us, there is a silver lining. :)

Wolverine #73 is part one of a two-part stand-alone story that will be in issues #73 and #74. It contains two stories, by two creative teams, that will begin in Wolverine #73 and conclude in Wolverine #74. Now, here comes the silver lining. The stories are being done by some REALLY good creative teams. The first story is by rising star, Jason Aaron, the man behind SCALPED and the totally awesome new WOLVERINE: WEAPON X ongoing series that began in April, with the always amazing Adam Kubert who has done some amazing work in the past on classic stories. It's a nice solid one-off story that gives us a look at a day in the life of Wolverine. I know it doesn't sound as exciting as Venom T-Rexes (and it's probably not), BUT, Aaron is a fantastic writer who truly gets Wolverine, and I'm sure we're going to get a great read out of this. Plus, the way the solicits talk, it sounds like there's a little surprise or two in both of these stories that are gonna make them worth giving a read.

The second half of Wolverine #73 is a story from DEADPOOL writer Daniel Way, and MARVEL 1985 artist Tommy Lee Edwards. Tommy Lee Edwards work on 1985 was perfect, and we cannot wait to see his style on everyone's favorite mutant. This story is going to be a very special prelude to the new DARK WOLVERINE series that will be springing up this summer, and will be spotlighting the DARK AVENGERS very own, Daken, the son of Wolverine, and how he's filling his dear ol' dad's boots.

I know it's lame that we've gotta wait until the 20th for the next OLD MAN LOGAN, and I think the shuffling of the numbering is stupid too, but at least we're getting a killer creative team, and what sound like a couple of solid stories. Click here to read more about WOLVERINE #73!

DARK REIGN FORECAST: BIG DARK REIGN WEEK, FEATURING THE RED HOT SECRET WARRIORS #4 , DARK REIGN: HAWKEYE (BULLSEYE) #2 , &DARK REIGN: YOUNG AVENGERS #1!

Great week for Dark Reign titles this week here at Third Eye. The biggest being the second installment of the twisted hit, DARK REIGN: HAWKEYE. The first issue gave us Bullseye struggling to put up the public appearance of being a hero.. an Avenger.. and showing just how close he is to exploding into his homicidal frenzy. The key point was a woman, who's life he saved, asking for his autograph, and Hawkeye.. aka Bullseye.. stabbing the pen through her eye into her skull. Completely awesome. The series has an excellent writer in current Thunderbolts scribe Andy Diggle (known for his work on The Losers), and some great pencils by Tom Raney. It looks like #2 we get to see just how out of control Bullseye's getting and how Norman Osborn will plan to keep him under control.

Next up, is one of our favorite new Marvel ongoing series, SECRET WARRIORS, which is one of the best damn superhero comics to come out this year. Amazing artwork from Caselli, and a sharp story from Brian Michael Bendis and Jonathan Hickman have made this one into a consistently wicked read. It's a fine mix of espionage, smart storytelling, clever dialogue, and the most punch to the throat action you could want out of a comic book. This is the series where no punches are pulled, and you never know what's going to happen to the characters. This week's issue reveals the fates of the AGENTS of SHIELD, as well as some hinting around of new replacements. Click here to check out a preview ofSECRET WARRIORS #4!

Another exciting new tie-in hitting the Third Eye shelves this Wednesday is the brand new DARK REIGN: YOUNG AVENGERS #1 , which gives us the return of the ORIGINAL YOUNG AVENGERS, as they go ahead to head in this branching out of the DARK REIGN series.

Also, hitting the racks this week we've got ALL-NEW SAVAGE SHE-HULK #2 , which follows-up on the adventures of this exciting new SHE-HULK, and the next installment in the new BLACK PANTHER series with BLACK PANTHER #4!

BATTLE FOR THE COWL: SECRET SIX #9 , AZRAEL: DEATH'S DARK KNIGHT #3 , & ORACLE #3 HIT THIS WEEK!

First off, there's one you better keep your eyes out for this week, and that's this week's Secret Six #9 . This issue features a Battle for the Cowl spotlight, where two members of the Six (my guess is Bane and Catman) are trying to throw their hats into the ring for the mantle of the Caped Crusader. It hasn't been heavily promoted yet that this is a Battle for the Cowl tie-in, but don't worry, we made sure to have plenty extra to spare for those of you who are going to need this excellent part of BATTLE FOR THE COWL.

Also, hitting the racks are the conclusions to both the ORACLE and AZRAEL limited series that tie into BATTLE FOR THE COWL. Oracle concludes in this week's ORACLE #3 , and AZRAEL concludes in this week's AZRAEL: DEATH'S DARK KNIGHT #3 .

DEADPOOL SUICIDE KINGS CONTINUES THIS WEEK WITHDEADPOOL: SUICIDE KINGS #2 ! DEADPOOL vs. THE PUNISHER!

You can expect more Deadpool goodness this week to give you your fill of everyone's favorite Merc With A Mouth. Breaking the fourth wall, and breaking faces, Deadpool Suicide Kings is a great little limited series that's throwing ol' Wade Wilson up against everyone from Daredevil to the Punisher. And, this week, it is indeed, Deadpool vs. Frank Castle in a throwdown sure to be drenched in blood, and some great one-liners from 'Pool. And, just where does the Man Without Fear fit into play on this one? Well, only one way to find out, true belivers, snag up the second issue of DEADPOOL: SUICIDE KINGS #2this Wednesday!

THE UNWRITTEN #1 DEBUTS THIS WEEK, NEW VERTIGO SERIES.. FIRST ISSUE IS ONLY $1.00! IT'S TWISTED CELEBRITY SCANDAL MEETS HARRY POTTER!

Mike Carey and Peter Gross, the creative team behind the critically acclaimed Lucifer series begin a brand new Vertigo series this Wednesday that looks like it's gonna be a real winner. I've already read a preview of the first half, and really dug what I've seen so far. Best of all? The first one is only a buck! How rad is that? What's it about? Well, the Unwritten is kind of like a twisted look at the Harry Potter character. In other words, Tommy Taylor, the son of the author who penned all the Tommy Taylor books, and the inspiration for the fictional character of the same namesake has had his life completely overshadowed by the fictional adventures his deceased father had crafted for him. But, here's the hook... Tommy may actually be the boy wizard his dad wrote about, and all those stories may have a little bit of weight to them. This one is perfect for fans of series like FABLES, where the story merges fiction and reality into one seemless storyline. Click here to check out a preview of THE UNWRITTEN #1!

BACK IN STOCK THIS WEEK: ALL 6 CHAPTERS OF OLD MAN LOGAN & INCOGNITO #1 & 2! TWO GIANT MUST-READS!

There's been some great books coming out since we opened our doors here at Third Eye, and we're really stoked to inform all you guys who may have missed out on them the first time around, that we've got them coming back into stock this week. The first is the insanely popular, and insanely awesome OLD MAN LOGAN storyline. This series by award-winning KICK-ASS writer MARK MILLAR and CIVIL WAR artist STEVE MCNIVEN has been THE best Marvel book we've been following. Set in 50 years in the future, where 95% of the superheroes have been killed, the Hulk's inbred grandchildren run the West Coast like a crime family, the Red Skull is president, and Wolverine is now only known as Logan, a man of peace who hasn't popped his claws in 40-some years... this is the best stuff we're reading! Wolverine and Hawkeye (who's now a blind, 80-year old and very Big Lebowski-esque character) are making their way cross country to deliver some very important goods. This very Mad Max-like future where everything is completely twisted, and wrong is the best alternate timeline story we've seen in a very long time, and the amazing art and writing make this one a must-read. If you haven't already, pick up WOLVERINE #66this Wednesday, and then you can catch up on the following issues. You'll love it! To check out a look at the first issue of OLD MAN LOGAN, click here!

Also, back in stock, we've got INCOGNITO #1 and 2 in the form of a Marvel Must-Have. This series from fantastic writer, Ed Brubaker (the man behind the killer Captain America run happening right now, as well as the cult favorite CRIMINAL, and some classic storylines like MESSIAH COMPLEX and GOTHAM CENTRAL) and Sean Phillips (the other man responsible for CRIMINAL) is one of our big favorites right now at Third Eye. Apocalyptic pulp noir done just the way we like it. The concept? A supervillain is given a new life in Witness Protection. He quickly becomes bored with his nine-to-five office job, and Ikea-catalog browsing existence. He spirals into a self-destructive path of drug use, and alcohol abuse.. and then, the substance abuse cancels out the pills that have been keeping his powers under control. One more time, he thinks, as he goes out to give his powers a whirl, costume on and everything.. and then things go horribly wrong. Now, his old boss, who's just found out one of his henchmen is alive and has been living in witness protection is sending the heavy guns after him. This one is a dark, moody mix of crime noir and superhero deconstruction. An amazing read, and chockful of all sorts of extra content. THIRD EYE CREATOR SPOTLIGHT FOR MAY! WALKING DEAD WRITER, ROBERT KIRKMAN!

We're going to be devoting one of our racks here at Third Eye each month to a creator that we feels deserves a little bit of the limelight. This month, we're going to be giving props to the extremely talented Robert Kirkman, the man behind everyone's big favorite, WALKING DEAD. Here's a look at some of the fantastic series he's done. WALKING DEAD - One of our consistently favorite monthly reads here. This one doesn't really need anymore exposure, because a lot of you are already in the know as to how awesome of a series it is. However, just in case, we figured we'd start here. Walking Dead is about nine trade paperbacks deep, and is on issue #60 (with #61 due out this Wednesday) in the singles. What happens when the zombie movie ends? Walking Dead happens. The character development, the cliffhangers, the storytelling, everything, is amazing. It is by far one of the most addictive comics we're following here at Third Eye. The zombies take a backseat to the cut-throat nature that people develop when society crumbles around them. The zombies are just a hazard that's in the way, while the real monsters are the humans. As the main character, Rick, says best... We are the Walking Dead. A fantastic read, and the first trade paperback is only $10, so why not give it a try?

INVINCIBLE - The best superhero comic you've yet to read. This extremely underrated, but insanely original take on the superhero genre is so well-done, it's going to be spoke highly of for years to come. If superheroes were real, then this is how it would play out. Imagine this, superman has a son, and when he's into his late teens, he begins to pick up the mantle of his dad. But, then, and here's a SPOILER, so look away...

He finds out his dad is actually harvesting the planet Earth for his homeworld's empire to come and take over. One of the most bloody, and brutal super-battles ensues, and from there, things get really crazy. The relationships between the characters are so well-developed, and the plot-twists are just as fantastic as Walking Dead's. If you're not reading Invincible yet, pick up volume 1 and give it a shot.

DESTROYER - This new limited series on the MAX imprint features a 60-some year old superhero who's on his way to the grave, but before he goes, he decides he must wipe out every supervillain he's ever encountered so his family can be safe. One of the most violent, and brutal works we've seen from Kirkman. This one is full of exploding heads, shotgun impalements, and rock'n'roll action that'll have you coming back for more.

MARVEL ZOMBIES - The original, and definitely, the best. While we've been really surprised with the quality on MZ 3 and MZ 4, the first Marvel Zombies blew us away. What looked like a goofy gimmick book when it was first announced turned into a clever, fun little mini-series that had us coming back for more, and more. Imagine an alternate Marvel Universe where the zombie plague breaks out, and infects almost all of the world's superheroes with a hunger for flesh. Of course, they consume the normal, non-superpowered population, and then what's left is a world full of very hungry Marvel Zombies. Little touches, like the zombies regaining momentary lapses of reasoning once having fed, make the book great. Seeing the Hulk turn back into Bruce Banner, but then his stomach busting open because the Hulk ate too much are great. Peter Parker's remorse that resurfaces when he's fed is over the fact that he ate Aunt May and Mary Jane. Sound wild? It is. Check it out, but skip the Marvel Zombies 2 sequel which wasn't all that great, and go straight to Marvel Zombies 3.

ASTOUNDING WOLF-MAN - A wealthy CEO is bitten by a werewolf while on vacation, and decides that the only thing to do with his curse is to become a superhero. His mentor and advisor on his curse? A Vampire. This one deals with how the main character, Gary Hampton, balances out his supernatural (and sometimes out of control) side with his good intentions and morals. The politics of other werewolves being thrown into the mix, along with the shadowy past of his Vampire mentor, Zecheriah, make this one a compelling read. Full of all the solid Kirkman storytelling, characterization and more that you've come to know and love. There's two trade paperbacks out so far for this one.

BRIT - A World War One super soldier. This one is a high-action Kirkman twist on Captain America if he really existed. Completely impervious to harm, but with only the strength of a normal male in his athletic shape, Brit's an often overlooked, but still very solid Kirkman gem that many have missed out on reading. There's two trade paperbacks available, and it's definitely worth a read for Kirkman fans.

IRREDEEMABLE ANT-MAN - Another hidden gem, Kirkman's new Ant-Man was a very fun book. The character who now serves on the current THUNDERBOLTS team was a low-level SHIELD agent with some shaky morals. The kind of guy who lies, cheats, and steals to make his way through life. He stumbles upon Hank Pym's latest incarnation of Ant-Man armor, and swipes it to use for picking up chicks, and hogging the glory of being a superhero. He eventually picks up somewhat of a moral conscience, and sort of becomes a superhero, but remains a bit of a sleazebag. This one's a fun read, and will definitely appeal to not just Kirkman fans, but fans of quirkier, funnier characters like DEADPOOL.
