THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS @ THIRD EYE COMICS!

Available at Third Eye this week,

BATMAN 681 CONCLUDES BATMAN RIP THIS WEEK!

The anxiously anticipated conclusion to BATMAN: R.I.P will be hitting our shelves this Wednesday, and we're completely pumped for it! Are they going to really kill off the Dark Knight? Who's going to take on the cowl? Only one way to find out, and that's by popping in and grabbing BATMAN 681! BATMAN RIP has definitely been an interesting story arc filled with twists and turns, and of course, Grant Morrison's trademark royal head-screw treatment! Add in the fact that Tony Daniels's pencils have been top notch, and it definitely makes this one a big read for Bat-fans. While we can't say that we've been completely won over by all the tie-ins of this event, we will say that the core Batman book that RIP has been running through, has been fantastic. Now, I better stop myself before I start geeking out about the origins of Zurr-Enn-Arrh, and more. Click here to read more about BATMAN 681 *RIP*

LADY BULLSEYE CHAPTER 3 ARRIVES IN THE PAGES OF DAREDEVIL 113!

Hot damn! When's the last time that Daredevil was this good? Brubaker (writer of Captain America, CRIMINAL, and more) has definitely hit his stride on the series, and with Lady Bullseye, has given us one of the best DD story arcs since back when Bendis was still on the book (and we all know how much I love my Bendis DD run!). Brubaker has taken a concept seen popular in a lot of Japanese cinema, the wronged woman coming into her own as a silent tool of death and destruction, and really turned it on it's head. Lady Bullseye is on a mission to take out Daredevil, Iron Fist, and the Black Tarantula, from a mysterious samurai-esque boss figure. As the story has continued, secrets of her past slowly unravel, and we learn more about her and why she chose to take on the identity of Bullseye. And if you're not reading it yet, do yourself a favor and grab the first two chapters which we still have in stock here at Third Eye. It's guaranteed good stuff! UMBRELLA ACADEMY: DALLAS 1 DEBUTS THIS WEEK!

Now, while your's truly isn't exactly a My Chemical Romance big-time fan here, I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed Gerard Way's kooky Umbrella Academy miniseries from last year. I mean, usually when a celebrity is brought in to do a comic, and his name isn't Kevin Smith, it's... not good. I was all set to hate the Umbrella Academy last year, expecting it to be just another lame attempt to cash in on a famous name by a publisher, but, man, they proved me wrong! The Umbrella Academy's trippy take on the superhero genre was a great read, and a definite read for fans of things like Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol, and quirky superhero books like the Astounding Wolf-Man. Well, this week, the follow-up, UMBRELLA ACADEMY: DALLAS, hits the shelves. Here's a link to a trailer that Dark Horse made to promote the book, give it a look!

SECRET INVASION INHUMANS 4 SETS UP FOR A WAR OF KINGS!

Some of the best tie-ins from Secret Invasion, have been the Inhumans, X-Men, and Thor books. These little miniseries have delivered the goods on a consistent basis, and now this week, we get to see the wrap up of Inhumans and X-Men. The one to really watch is the SECRET INVASION INHUMANS miniseries which is setting the stage big time for 2009's highly anticipated WAR OF KINGS event. Read more about @ SECRET INVASION INHUMANS 4. And of course, also wrapping up this week, we've got the SECRET INVASION X-MEN mini-series, which concludes with SECRET INVASION X-MEN 4, and you can read more about it @ SECRET INVASION X-MEN 4!

SUPERMAN NEW KRYPTON CHAPTER 6 DROPS IN SUPERMAN 682 THIS WEEK!

New Krypton keeps rolling with this week's Superman 682, which is Chapter 6. New Krypton has been blowing us away week after week, and it's great to see the Superman books return to being a popular title. Geoff Johns, the man who can do no wrong in the DCU, has been masterminding an amazing storyline with New Krypton. And this week, you can get your weekly fix in SUPERMAN 682! GARTH ENNIS (WRITER OF THE BOYS) BRINGS US THE SECOND INSTALLMENT OF HIS BATTLEFIELDS SERIES!

Garth Ennis is one of our big favorites here at Third Eye. We love the Boys, speak in hushed tones of respect in regards to Preacher, and hold his PUNISHER MAX series up as the definitive Punisher story. But, where does Ennis really come into his own? He loves to write war comics, and the man can write a WICKED war comic. The first issue of Battlefields Night Witches really surprised us, and won us over, and we can't wait for this week's second installment. Click here to read a preview of NIGHT WITCHES 2!

MATT FRACTION'S THIRD AND FINAL THOR ONE-SHOT.. MAN OF WAR.. HITS THE SHELVES THIS WEEK!
