This is THE "Civil War" of THE X-MEN LINE.

xmenschism1

It was a really tough call on which book to feature as our book of the week. Between the launch of Jonathan Hickman's RED WING, the new CAPTAIN AMERICA ongoing series, and SCHISM, it was a close call.

But, just due to the gravity, and lasting impact that SCHISM will have, we had to go with SCHISM. It's probably the book we are most excited for this Wednesday, and folks, I cannot stress how good this one is going to be.

Lets talk SCHISM. This is essentially Marvel's CIVIL WAR, but for the world of the X-MEN. For years, we've seen a rift growing between WOLVERINE and CYCLOPS. We've watched as both have evolved as characters, and almost switched in terms of how they view the world. We've watched as CYCLOPS has moved in a much more MAGNETO-like direction, and WOLVERINE, has maintained the same attitude he always has, but gotten more and more serious about it.

And, we've waited, and wondered when it would happen, but it's finally going down: the X-MEN are splitting, and SCHISM is the cause of that split.

Many of you have heard about the historic landmark final issue of UNCANNY X-MEN arriving in October, with issue #544. Now, one thing we can confirm, is that UNCANNY is ending and beginning anew, and it's all due to SCHISM. We took place in a conference call with Marvel Editor-in-Chief AXEL ALONSO, X-Men head editor Nick Lowe, and SCHISM writer JASON AARON about the relaunch of UNCANNY and the whole SCHISM storyline, and much of what we learned is what leads to UNCANNY ending, and opening a bold new era for Marvel's merry mutants.

As far as how we're going to get there, one word: SCHISM. And, folks, it's going to be AWESOME. We've seen some advance pages, and heard some things about what's planned for the series, and I'm totally stoked. I really think that this is the biggest thing the X-MEN have witnessed since the launch of X-MEN MUTANT GENESIS and X-MEN #1 by JIM LEE and CHRIS CLAREMONT, almost two decades ago.

What's SCHISM about? Schism kicks off with some of the most rock-n-roll action-packed X-MEN storytelling we've seen, but what it leads to is something so tragic, and so fateful, that it literally splits the X-MEN in two. The growing tension between WOLVERINE and CYCLOPS comes to a head, and after years of fighting side-by-side, it boils down to what we've all been waiting for: WOLVERINE vs. CYCLOPS. And, the real question is who will side with who in this one.

A limited series, SCHISM, promises to deliver MAJOR storyline impact and ramifications that will shake the entire Marvel Universe to it's core, when everything is said and done, you'll be asking yourself one question: Has Cyclops finally gone too far?

This is it, folks, a storyline that's been brewing for quite some time... and that's been teased in several promos (i.e Cyclops wearing Magneto's armor), SCHISM is set to be the biggest X-MEN storyline in over 20 years.

Jason Aaron will be handling the writing chores on this one, and he's one of the best guys for the job in our opinion. Whether it's his kick-ass work on the current WOLVERINE ongoing series, or his creator-owned work on titles such as SCALPED, Aaron has shown that he knows how to tell a big, action-packed story that's not afraid to explore the dark side of it's characters.

As far as the art chores, each issue of SCHISM features a superstar artist, ranging from Andy Kubert to Carlos Pacheco to Frank Cho, and more, which is yet another reason to be stoked for the SCHISM storyline.

This is also a perfect entry point for anyone who's been looking to get into the X-MEN, as this leads directly to the launch of UNCANNY X-MEN #1 and WOLVERINE & THE X-MEN #1 later this year. Totally accessible, totally action-packed, X-MEN SCHISM is a great spot to jump aboard.

And since we're so stoked about the launch of the series, when you purchase X-MEN SCHISM #1 this Wednesday, we'll enter you into a very special prize drawing for one of the rare FRANK CHO variants of X-MEN SCHISM #1

CAPTAIN AMERICA #1 DEBUTS THIS WEDNESDAY, AS THE HISTORIC FIRST ISSUE OF STEVE ROGERS RETURNING AS CAPTAIN AMERICA IN THIS NEW ONGOING SERIES ARRIVES!

A PERFECT SERIES TO JUMP ONTO IF YOU WANT TO GET INTO CAP!

FEATURING TWO OF THE BIGGEST SUPERSTARS IN THE BIZ: ED BRUBAKER & STEVE MCNIVEN

Be Entered Into A Prize Drawing For CAPTAIN AMERICA #1 OLIVIER COIPEL VARIANT WHEN YOU PURCHASE #1 THIS WEDNESDAY

captainamerica1

Another HUGE release this week is the launch of the brand new CAPTAIN AMERICA ongoing series by Ed Brubaker and Steve McNiven. This one is a big deal for SEVERAL reasons, but the biggest is that this is the first official return of Steve Rogers AS Captain America. We've seen him put the costume on, we've seen him announce his return, but, this is him, back in action, and ready to kick some major ass.

For those of you who may already be following Cap, you might know that Ed Brubaker has been working on the character for the last few years, and doing a fantastic job. However, this is a fresh start, and a great jumping on point for the character, and folks, as a Bucky Cap fan myself, I gotta say, after reading the advance of this one: it's the best damn Cap I've ever read. Even including epics like WINTER SOLDIER, RED MENACE, ect.

Brubaker is at the top of his game here, and having Steve McNiven on art is a HUGE bonus here. McNiven is a name you might recall from titles like CIVIL WAR, and OLD MAN LOGAN. McNiven is one of the best guys working in the biz right now, and having him on board as the regular series artist for Cap has got us so excited it's not even funny.

This series promises to be the definitive Captain America series, bringing a cinematic, in-your-face, high-octane brand of storytelling that takes all the awesome things that Brubaker does and amps them up with McNiven's incredible artwork.

And, with the CAPTAIN AMERICA movie less than a week away, this is a perfect time to jump on board with the character, as the new CAPTAIN AMERICA ongoing series delivers an excellent and accessible entry-point for anyone who may be new to the character.

This is looking to be one of the raddest new Marvel titles of the Summer, and folks, after having read some of it, I really can't give it enough praise. Give it a peek this Wednesday, and snag yourself a copy.

In celebration of the launch of this brand new series, we'll be doing a very special prize-drawing for one of the uber-rare OLIVIER COIPEL (the very talented artist on MIGHTY THOR) variants of CAPTAIN AMERICA #1 when you purchase your Cap on Wednesday.

RED WING #1 - JONATHAN HICKMAN, writer of SHIELD, FF/FANTASTIC FOUR, SECRET WARRIORS, PAX ROMANA, RED MASS FOR MARS and MORE, DEBUTS HIS NEW SMASH HIT IMAGE SERIES THIS WEDNESDAY

redwing1

Damn, this one is going to be freakin' amazing. We love Hickman's writing here at Third Eye, and consider him to be one of the most talented guys working in the field right now. His work on stuff like SECRET WARRIORS, the current FF series, S.H.I.E.L.D, PAX ROMANA and RED MASS FOR MARS has been some of the best comic book storytelling we've seen in over a decade, and the comparisons between him and Alan Moore in terms of the layered approach to storytelling and high-concept ideas made accessible are very true.

So, when we heard that Hickman was pairing up with the incredibly talented Nick Pitarra to bring us a brand new Image series... we were pumped. And, now, that it's coming out this Wednesday, we're even more pumped.

The premise of The Red Wing centers around a group of pilots that are attempting to fight wars not only across the globe but across time. It's temporal traveling fighter pilots and their attempt to fight teh battles that occur throughout time and space. The first issue is centered around a couple of second gen pilots that are fresh to the program as new recruits, and are only in the program as "legacy" members due to their fathers' past exploits as first-gen temporal pilots. Now, they have to come out from under their father's shadows to prove they're worthy of being among the Red Wing.

Hickman delivers in a MAJOR WAY here, telling a compelling, action-packed story of time-traveling fighter pilots, and the struggles they endure. And, just in the first issue, we witness Hickman offering a whole new level of complexities and intricate details in how he portrays time travel, while at the same time keeping a firm emotional tether to the shortcomings that pilots fighting through time encounter.

We can't forget about Pitarra though, as his artwork brings the story to life in an amazing way. Action-packed sequences galore, he knows how to translate Hickman's bigger-than-life, widescreen ideas into killer stories.

Folks, I give this one a personal Steve stamp of approval, and my highest recommendation. Want a kick-ass title for the summer? The Red Wing is it, and looks to be another breakout IMAGE COMICS hit.

FLASHPOINT WEDNESDAY: THE NEXT ROUND OF FLASHPOINT TIE-INS HIT, DELIVERING MORE AWESOME FLASHPOINT READS with FLASHPOINT EMPEROR AQUAMAN #2, FLASHPOINT DEATHSTROKE CURSE OF THE RAVAGER #2, FLASHPOINT FRANKENSTEIN CREATURES OF THE UNKNOWN #2 & FLASHPOINT CITIZEN COLD #2

Missed the first issues? We've got 'em all in stock to catch you up

flashpointempaquaman2

*FREE FLASHPOINT AQUAMAN BUTTON WITH PURCHASE UPON REQUEST*

Flashpoint has been amazing, through and through, and we cannot get enough of this series, and it's tie-ins. It's rare that you see an event where nearly ALL of the tie-ins are top notch reads, but I gotta tell you: the FLASHPOINT tie-in minis have been some of my favorite reads each week.

Last week delivered some HUGE revelations with the FLASHPOINT BATMAN KNIGHT OF VENGEANCE #2, and FLASHPOINT ABIN SUR #2, both bringing us some major surprises in regards to the bigger FLASHPOINT storyline.

This week, we're in for a treat, as we get to see the storyline of FLASHPOINT evolve even further with four follow-up issues to four of our favorite FLASHPOINT tie-ins.

The first of which is the highly anticipated second issue of FLASHPOINT EMPEROR AQUAMAN, which we absolutely loved. In the first issue, we saw the war between the Atlanteans and Amazons from Aquaman's perspective, and then we saw Wonder Woman's perspective in the FLASHPOINT WONDER WOMAN #1.

Now, in FLASHPOINT EMPEROR AQUAMAN #2, we see that the war between the Atlanteans and Amazons is almost here as Aquaman invades New Themyscira. With Mera dead, Aquaman has his heart set on revenge, and as his hands of vengeance, he sends Mera's sister Siren, and his brother, Prince Orm, into the Palace of Furies for Wonder Woman's head.

Of course, we know that won't be enough, and it's going to be up to Arthur himself to take the fight straight to WW.

And, in case you somehow missed getting an Aquaman button on the first issue, we've got buttons to hook you up on the second one.

And, if you missed the first issue of EMPEROR AQUAMAN altogether, we do still have copies available to catch you up.

Click here for a preview of EMPEROR AQUAMAN #2

flashpointcitizencold2

Next up is a personal favorite with FLASHPOINT: CITIZEN COLD. Now, I've been pretty clear with how big of a fan I am of Captain Cold, who in my opinion, is one of the coolest DC villains, and by far, the best of the Flash rogues. Geoff Johns brought such a level of coolness to him, well, it can't be matched. And, there I go making puns, huh?

Seriously though, in the world of FLASHPOINT, Captain Cold is Citizen Cold.. and while he fights on the side of angels this go around, you can see that Cold is only a few twists away from descending to his old ways. In Central City, Cold is the hero of the day, but when an entire gallery of Rogues kidnap his sister, they'll use her as bait to lure him into a deathtrap. Will Cold be able to save himself and his sister? And, where does the disappearance of Wally West fit into all of this?

A fascinating look at a personal favorite, the CITIZEN COLD mini has been awesome.

And, in case you somehow missed getting your CITIZEN COLD button on the first issue, we've got buttons to hook you up on the second one.

Missed issue #1? We've got copies in stock to catch you up.

Click here for a preview of FLASHPOINT CITIZEN COLD #2

flashpointfrankenstein2

The next FLASHPOINT tie-in up this week is the FLASHPOINT FRANKENSTEIN & CREATURES OF THE UNKNOWN #2 which is another personal fave of mine. The tone and feel that DC is going for with FRANKENSTEIN is very akin to that of a character like HELLBOY, and well, I love it. It's freakin' rad. And, with SWEET TOOTH writer JEFF LEMIRE on board on this one, you know you're in for some good stuff.

As Frankenstein and his creature commandoes embark on their journey to find the cure for their afflictions, they find themselves seeking Nina's father's old lab in gotham. Unfortunately, this leads them directly to monster hunter Miranda Shrieve.. and, this is where we get to see the origins of Shrieve's vendetta.

Out of all the tie-ins, this may be the most intriguing, as they're literally weaving a brand new corner of the DC UNIVERSE from thin air with this one, and with the advance pages we saw of the upcoming FRANKENSTEIN series due out this September... this looks to be a fundamental in the foundation for the title.

Highly recommended, if you missed #1, don't worry, we've got copies to catch you up.

And, for those of you who may have missed your FLASHPOINT button the first go around, we do have FRANKENSTEIN buttons available with purchase of FLASHPOINT FRANKENSTEIN #1 or #2.

flashpointdeathstroke2

And, then rounding out the foursome of FLASHPOINT tie-ins this Wednesday, we've got FLASHPOINT DEATHSTROKE CURSE OF THE RAVAGER #2, which shows us the confrontation touched upon in FLASHPOINT #2 between EMPEROR AQUAMAN and DEATHSTROKE.

I don't know about you, but DEATHSTROKE as a pirate? Hell yeah. I think that's just plain awesome.

Missed the first issue? We've got copies in stock to catch you up, and if you need a button for the DEATHSTROKE one still, we've got buttons free with purchase of FLASHPOINT DEATHSTROKE CURSE OF THE RAVAGER #1 or #2.

boostergold46

And, we can't forget that BOOSTER GOLD #46 hits this Wednesday as well, continuing the FLASHPOINT tie-in that's been running through BOOSTER, and serving as a great companion and bridge between the regular DC UNIVERSE and the FLASHPOINT DC UNIVERSE.

WAR OF THE GREEN LANTERNS CONCLUDES THIS WEDNESDAY IN GREEN LANTERN #67 *WAR OF THE GREEN LANTERNS CHAPTER 10* and GREEN LANTERN CORPS #61 *WAR OF THE GREEN LANTERNS EPILOGUE*

greenlantern67

Here it is, folks, the grand finale to the WAR OF THE GREEN LANTERNS. After a brief intermission with EMERALD WARRIORS #11, it looks like we're going to finally see how this amazing storyline ends. Geoff Johns's WAR OF THE GREEN LANTERNS has been one of the best things we've been reading since it's inception, and ranks up there with SINESTRO CORPS WAR, BLACKEST NIGHT, and more as an amazing GREEN LANTERN story.

Now, in this week's GREEN LANTERN #67 and GREEN LANTERN CORPS #61, the saga comes to an end, and paves the way for the landscape of the GREEN LANTERN titles in the dawn of the DCU Relaunch coming in Fall.

We've raved, and raved about how epic a storyline this has been, and again, we'll say it: one of the best points of Geoff Johns's run thus far.

If you haven't been reading this one, we've got all the issues going all the way back to chapter one (GREEN LANTERN #64),in stock and available to catch you up to the conclusion this Wednesday.

FF #6 - HICKMAN'S KICK-ASS RUN ON FANTASTIC FOUR CONTINUES THIS WEDNESDAY... ALL WE CAN SAY: RETURN OF THE KING. BLACK BOLT IS BACK TO RECLAIM HIS THRONE!

FF6

Okay, so you guys have heard me rant and rave about how much I'm enjoying Hickman's run on FF enough already, so I'll cut to the chase. But before I do, all I can say is if you're not yet reading this series, and you want to witness what is probably one of the best monthly titles Marvel's putting on the stands... you need to snag yourself issues 1-5 and catch up to this week's #6. It seriously is some of the best superhero storytelling be done in the business right now, and each issue gets better, and better.

Moving ahead, this week, in FF #6, we're going straight for one big moment: the Return of Black Bolt to reclaim his throne amongst the Inhumans. Something that's been built towards for quite some time, and in true, bigger-than-life Hickman fashion, will explode in this issue.

Last month in FF #5, we saw the siege on Old Atlantis come to a head as Sue comes to discover the secret Reed's been keeping from her. Watching Sue and Alex standing against hordes of angry Atlanteans and Moloids, war engines and all, was pretty damn exciting, and we loved it. And, even better, is Sue's encounter with an "evil Reed."

From there, we began the current arc of FF, and we're loving it. And, this week's #6 looks to be as promising as #5.

Wanna hop on board Hickman's current FF run? We've got issues 1-5 in stock to catch you up to this week's #6.

LADY MECHANIKA #2 ARRIVES THIS WEDNESDAY, ALONG WITH LADY MECHANIKA COLLECTED EDITION #1 REPRINTING #0 AND #1 - A MUST READ, THIS STEAMPUNK MASTERPIECE IS A BIG FAVORITE HERE AT THIRD EYE!

ladymechanika2

Here's one we've been totally stoked for, and are so happy to see arriving on the racks this Wednesday. Lady Mechanika is a gorgeously-illustrated steampunk masterpiece that took the shop by storm when it first debuted a few months back, and now, not only do we have issue #2 hitting this week, but right alongside it we've got a special collected edition which collects both issue #0 and issue #1 for only $3.99.

What's the story behind LADY MECHANIKA? The tabloids dubbed her LADY MECHANIKA due to the unique mechanical limbs she had her own limbs replaced with after being the victim of a psychotic serial killer's rampage.

When they found her locked in an abandoned laboratory amidst countless corpses and body parts, with mechanical arms and legs, her life began a new.

Now, with no memory of her captivity or her former life, Lady Mechanika has built a new life for herself as a private detective, using her unique abilities to solve cases the police couldn't or wouldn't handle.

A must-read, this is one of the best examples of comics dabbling in the genre of steampunk, and has really turned out perfectly, and heck, we've only read two issues so far! :)

If you're not already on board, snag the collected edition and #2 this Wednesday to get caught up!

HELLRAISER #3 - CLIVE BARKER'S RETURN TO THE CENOBITES CONTINUES IN THIS IN-CONTINUITY, CANON HELLRAISER STORY FROM BOOM! STUDIOS (IRREDEEMABLE, PLANET OF THE APES, 28 DAYS LATER)

hellraiser3 We're totally loving BOOM's new HELLRAISER series, and as big-time Clive Barker fans, it's great to see the man writing one of his most memorable creations again. Yep, that's right, this HELLRAISER series is officially written by Barker, and that means it's more than just a licensed book, it's an actual canon, in-continuity piece of the HELLRAISER lore.

The machinations of Pinhead's plans become more intense in this issue, and the true horror of them is about to unleash on Kirsty. She thought she'd left behind the cenobites, but the past is never buried for long.

Missed out on issues 1 and 2? We've got copies of each in stock and available to catch you up this Wednesday!

ULTIMATE COMICS FALLOUT #1 - JUMPED ON WITH THE DEATH OF ULTIMATE SPIDERMAN? THE SAGA CONTINUES from BENDIS AND BAGLEY THIS WEDNESDAY - WHO WILL BE THE NEW SPIDER-MAN?

ultimatefallout1

We thought that the conclusion to the DEATH OF ULTIMATE SPIDERMAN was done perfectly, and that Bendis handled the closing of the chapter on the character in the right way. It was a great storyline, and if you missed out on it, we've got the issues in stock still to catch you up. You can click here to go check out our DEATH OF ULTIMATE SPIDERMAN checklist, and snag all the chapters of the arc.

I actually had to come back and re-write this entry about ULTIMATE FALLOUT, because after attending a conference call with the "architects" of the new Ultimate Universe (Nick Spencer, Jonathan Hickman, and Brian Michael Bendis).. my enthusiasm has sky-rocketed.

Folks, I am so optimistic about the new direction of the ULTIMATE UNIVERSE that it's not even funny. While the DEATH OF ULTIMATE SPIDERMAN was a great story, and a fitting end to one of the most enduring and compelling superhero sagas of the last decade... I feel that the new direction of the ULTIMATE titles is going to be even bigger.

First of all, ULTIMATE FALLOUT is the perfect book to pick up if you got into ULTIMATE SPIDERMAN with DEATH OF ULTIMATE SPIDEY. This is a great follow-up series which explores the world of Spider-man.. without Spider-man, and this is also the series that will lead to the debut of a brand new Ultimate Spider-man.

All I can say is you're going to want to be reading this one. It's a must, not just for Spidey, but also as the series that lays the groundwork for a revitalized, refreshed and recharged Ultimate Marvel.

Spencer (MORNING GLORIES) and Hickman (FF), along with Bendis (you know him by now :) ), have HUGE plans for the Ultimate Universe, and some of the things that we learned is that the Ultimate Universe as a whole will function as a more cohesive, continuity-based Marvel Universe. In other words, there will not be as many scattered limited series that have no connection to others. Another thing that we can tell you about the new Ultimate Universe is that the books are guaranteed to be on time. And, judging by the creators involved, it looks like we'll be getting that.

Now, many of you may be wondering what's the purpose of ULTIMATE MARVEL? Ultimate Marvel is essentially an alternate Marvel Universe which is much more rooted in reality, and tells the stories of the Marvel characters as if they were happening today. Ultimate Marvel is also the number one place where many of the film-makers look for ideas for upcoming films like the AVENGERS, and past films like IRON MAN and THOR.

In the world of Ultimate Marvel, Peter Parker was still a teenager, the Avengers are more of a military-sponsored black ops team, and when characters die, they stay dead.

The flexibility of the Ultimate Universe is part of what makes it awesome, so you're able to see unique new spins on characters you fondly remember.

And, the plan going forward for the ULTIMATE UNIVERSE is this is a cutting-edge, reality-based superhero world that brings a sleek new take to the Marvel characters we all know and love. Imagine if INCEPTION was a Marvel movie, or if CALL OF DUTY did a Marvel game... it'd be Ultimate Marvel.

Jump on board this week with ULTIMATE FALLOUT #1, or catch up with the DEATH OF ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN storyline, with all issues still in stock here at Third Eye (including the polybagged DEATH issue)

INCOGNITO BAD INFLUENCES VOLUME 2 TRADE PAPERBACK ARRIVES THIS WEDNESDAY

Pure Apocalyptic Pulp Noir Awesomeness from the Creators of CRIMINAL

incognitobadinfluencestpb2

The works of Brubaker and Phillips are amazing. These two guys when paired up together put out some of the best damn comics on the stands, and their work on both CRIMINAL and INCOGNITO is totally proof of that.

This week, the second INCOGNITO trade paperback hits, delivering another slab of hard-edged pulp noir awesomeness, and I couldn't be more stoked about it. The story of Zack Overkill, a supervillain henchmen who sold out his boss, and went into witness protection but couldn't resist the lure of the super-human lifestyle, continues to unfold, as we see that after the events of the first INCOGNITO arc, Zack is being tasked with a suicide mission.

The government wants to send Zack back into the super-criminal underworld he came from, and it'll be a season in hell even fi Zack survives.

INCOGNITO manages to go to the darkest corners of a hard-edged pulp world, and just keeps pushing the line. If you're a fan of darker looks at superheroes like IRREDEEMABLE, or THE BOYS, or if you just prefer a very good, dark noir-charged comic book like CRIMINAL, or FELL, then you'll love INCOGNITO.

Wanna check out the first volme? We'll have plenty of copies in stock this Wednesday to get you hooked up!

BATMAN THE DARK KNIGHT #3 - DAVID FINCH'S BLOCKBUSTER BATMAN SERIES CONTINUES THIS WEDNESDAY, DELIVERING THE BEST LOOKING BATMAN BOOK SINCE JIM LEE'S HUSH

batmandarkknight3

There are some books where the art is so good that you can read it almost solely based upon that merit. However, it's always a huge bonus when it's got a good story backing it up, and DARK KNIGHT is definitely a combination of the two.

David Finch's blockbuster BATMAN series reads like Jim Lee's BATMAN: HUSH, if HUSH was an ongoing series. Finch uses this as a platform to tell, straight-forward, high-quality, and self-contained BATMAN stories, which cast a light on many fan-favorite Batman villains and supporting cast.

And, it all looks REALLY REALLY REALLY good.

This Wednesday, BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT #3 hits, and brings us not only RAGMAN, but also ETRIGAN the DEMON.. and to see Finch drawing both of these characters, has us totally stoked.

Wanna catch up on the series? We've got copies of DARK KNIGHT #1 and #2 in stock to catch you up.

BLACKEST NIGHT HITS SOFTCOVER THIS WEDNESDAY, WITH BLACKEST NIGHT, BLACKEST NIGHT GREEN LANTERN, and BLACKEST NIGHT GREEN LANTERN CORPS ARRIVING IN TRADE PAPERBACK

We'll have BLACKEST NIGHT, BLACKEST NIGHT GREEN LANTERN, and BLACKEST NIGHT GREEN LANTERN CORPS all in stock and in softcover this Wednesday.

If you've been waiting on getting these, now is the perfect time to finally catch up, and find out why these are seen as some of the biggest DC COMICS stories in the last few years.

DOLLHOUSE EPITAPHS #1 OF 5 HITS THIS WEDNESDAY CONTINUING THE NEXT SEASON TO JOSS WHEDON'S DOLLHOUSE WORLD IN COMIC BOOK FORM

dollhouseepitaphs1x

We're big Whedon fans here at Third Eye, so whenever Whedon and co. decide to bring out something new in the realm of comics, we've gotta give it a shout out.

Starting this Wednesday, the follow up to the short-lived DOLLHOUSE television show kicks off. Picking up directly where the DOLLHOUSE one-shot left off, this new series continues the tale of survivors taking up arms against Rossum.

Alpha was a perfect product of Rossum Corporation's mind-altering technology, until he snapped, burdened by the dozens of personalities they'd downloaded into his brain. Now, the technology has gone viral, turning the entire population into murderous automatons, and it's up to Alpha, and a small group of survivors to save mankind.

GHOST RIDER'S NEW ONGOING SERIES DEBUTS THIS WEDNESDAY WITH GHOST RIDER #1

ghostrider1

After the debut of the new GHOST RIDER in GHOST RIDER #0.1 last month, we're pretty stoked to see the character back in an all-new ongoing series, and tying the book into FEAR ITSELF is a great way to re-introduce the character.

Johnny Blaze has been chained to hell long enough, and with the world thrown into chaos during FEAR ITSELF, he's given a chance to rid himself of the Spirit of Vengeance forever... and he takes it. The curse is passed onto a new host but Blaze has no idea what nightmares his action has wrought upon the world.

Will the new Spirit of Vengeance bring us salvation, or send this world of sinners to a flaming death?
