THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS @ THIRD EYE COMICS FOR WEDNESDAY 12/14/11

AVENGERS: X-SANCTION #1 HITS THIS WEDNESDAY BRINGING THE RETURN OF THE PHOENIX, THE ROAD TO AVENGERS VS. X-MEN AND MORE!
FEATURING THIRD EYE COMICS ON THE COVER!
THE OFFICIAL LEAD IN TO AVENGERS VS. X-MEN BEGINS WEDNESDAY!
THE SUPERSTAR CREATORS BEHIND BATMAN: THE LONHALLOWEEN, SUPERMAN/BATMAN, AND MORE REUNITE

This is it, Third Eye Faithful. As the X-MEN have split into the gold teams, and blue teams, and the AVENGERS have had their very foundations crumbled due to FEAR ITSELF, a crisis that threatens to destroy them both will begin in this Wednesday's AVENGERS: X-SANCTION #1.

So, what's the scoop on this one? Well, first off.. we gotta say it: it's got a Third Eye cover! :) How can we not be stoked about that? Yup, that's your's truly on that WANTED poster Cable's holding up there, and just like our appearance on the cover of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, we're pretty peeked out about this.

And, now that we've got that out of the way, here's the rundown on what the series is about and why we're pumped: Cable has returned to the present, and he's got 24 hours to wipe THE AVENGERS from the pages of history.

Imagine THE TERMINATOR meets the MARVEL UNIVERSE, and that helps sum up the tone and feel of X-SANCTION very well.

The question is though, where has Cable been since his supposed death in the X-MEN: SECOND COMING, and what dark event has driven him to destroy the AVENGERS? And, just how does this connect to the much talked about return of the Phoenix.

Just last week, Marvel announced their blockbuster summer event that begins in spring 2012, AVENGERS VS X-MEN. While Marvel has been very tight-lipped about the surprises in store, we do know that the revelations revealed within the pages of X-SANCTION #1 are going to blow your minds, Third Eye Faithful.

I mean, Cable vs. Captain America is just the tip of the appetizer, as an entire universe-changing event is on the horizon, and X-SANCTION is the official road to this storyline.

With an all-star creative team of BATMAN: THE LONG HALLOWEEN and ULTIMATUM's JEPH LOEB, and superstar artist ED MCGUINNNESS (of SUPERMAN/BATMAN and RED HULK fame), you just know that this one is going to be a BIG action-packed blockbuster of a story, and we cannot wait to hear what you guys think this week!

'cause it reads so damn good collected.

Anyways, there's nothing new that I can really say about WALKING DEAD other than the fact that it's remained one of the BEST comics on the stands for almost a decade now, and with almost 100 issues in the can, and 15 trades in... we're still impressed with how fresh Kirkman keeps his story.

JUMP ON BOARD WHAT IS SURE TO BE THE SLEEPER HIT OF 2012 WITH THIS WEDNESDAY'S SACRIFICE #1
LIMITED DISTRBUTION - AND WE'RE ONE OF THE SELECT FEW LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE OFFERING THIS GREAT NEW TITLE
Joy Division vs. Alternate History Madness!
DUDE! I am so stoked about this comic, it's unbelievable. We've been working alongside the creators to make sure that Sacrifice got a big release here in Maryland, and folks, I am so stoked that the release date for this one is coming up on us, that it's not even funny.

Why? 'Cause it's INCREDIBLE. A true indie, SACRIFICE is being distributed outside of conventional channels (i.e Diamond Comics Dist.) to select retailers throughout the U.S. As a store with a reputation of being on the cutting edge of what's awesome, and what's new, we knew as soon as we saw the cover image to SACRIFICE #1 that this book was going to be a HUGE release for writer Sam Humphries and artist Dalton Rose.

The plot itself grabbed me, and after seeing the interior art, I was even more intrigued, but it wasn't until opening the comic up this past weekend, and sitting down to read it that I realized what a special little book Rose and Humphries had put together.

What is Sacrifice? Imagine a psychedelic tale of historical fact, present day reality, and a whole lotta insanity melding together as one young man is plunged into a very brutal, and very messy past where Montezuma still rules, and they want to rip his heart out to sacrifice it to Quetzalcoatl.

Basically, what happens when you're ripped from the comfort of the 21st century and dropped into one of the greatest -- and most bloodthirsty -- civilizations in human history? How do you survive a strange world of war, blood, sacrifice and death?

That's what we find out, a Hector, a dude on a one-way trip through the past, the present, and the psychedelic faces the glory of the Aztec Empire.

The artwork is INCREDIBLE, the coloring on this is so freakin' sharp, and we're in awe... awe, I tell ya, of how good this book looks.

Throw in Sam Humphries (writer of OUR LOVE IS REAL) and his kick-ass storytelling, and folks, all we can say is this: SACRIFICE is going to be a smash hit.

We've got limited quantities coming into both stores this week, and more are on the way. As the only store in the region with this title, we do urge you to request one be held for you if you're interested in it. I don't normally go on record and say "hey, this book is going to be hot; make sure you get it quick", but... this book is going to be hot, do NOT sleep on it.

And, I have to admit: I'm a huge Joy Division fan, so all those clever references to one of my favorite bands help make this even more awesome.

BATGIRL #4 - THE DC NEW 52 CONTINUES ON AS GAIL SIMONE CONTINUES TO KICK OUT THE JAMS ON BATGIRL TURNING IT INTO A THIRD EYE FAVORITE WITH EACH ISSUE

There's been a ton of good stuff coming out of DC with their recent DC NEW 52 line, and Gail Simone's new BATGIRL series has been turning into one of our quick favorites.
While we were skeptical at first about the major change being made to Oracle's character, we have to tell ya: she's doing an amazing job of turning this book into a top tier DC NEW 52 favorite.
Simone's writing clicks perfectly with Barbara Gordon, and you know, with all the experience she's had writing the character over the years, it only makes sense that she'd be a natural fit for the Batgirl title.
And, we can't not address the awesome artwork here, I mean, Syf is doing a great job of bringing the world of Batgirl to life in a very stylized, and dynamic way that keeps us coming back again and again.
A true Third Eye favorite, if you're not reading BATGIRL yet, we've got issues 1-3 in stock to catch you up to this week's #4.

STAR WARS: AGENT OF THE EMPIRE #1 - Imagine James Bond in the Star Wars Universe.... working for the Empire. Yes. THIS IS AWESOME. From the writer behind STAR WARS LEGACY, AGENT OF THE EMPIRE is GREAT!
Get stoked, Third Eye Faithful: this is looking to be the most promising STAR WARS series we've seen launch since the debut of STAR WARS LEGACY a few years back. An original concept from the very talented John Ostrander (Writer of STAR WARS LEGACY), AGENT OF THE EMPIRE brings a brand new look at everyone's favorite Far Away Galaxy in a Time Long Ago.
The name's Cross. Jahan Cross. And, he's the Empire's most deadly secret agent, in the true James Bond fashion.
Cross's mission takes him and his assistant IN-GA 44 to the affluent Corporate Sector. There, on the trail of stolen droid technology, they will rub elbows with diplomats and desperadoes, captains of industry and sergeants of the local police -- and rub most of them the wrong way.
Set during the events of the original Trilogy (A NEW HOPE, EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, and RETURN OF THE JEDI), AGENT OF THE EMPIRE brings a very cool super-spy kind of take to the STAR WARS universe, with a rare perspective from the Imperial's side.
We think it's going to be great, with some incredible artwork, incredible storytelling, and a killer concept, this is the Star Wars comic to watch.

UNCANNY X-FORCE #18 - THE DARK ANGEL SAGA CONCLUDES THIS WEDNESDAY, AND WITH IT'S END, BRINGS A BOLD NEW ERA FOR THE MOST POPULAR MARVEL SERIES ON THE STANDS
Many of you have already heard my ranting, and my raving about how freakin' beloved UNCANNY X-FORCE is here at Third Eye. And, folks, I'm gonna say it again: UNCANNY X-FORCE is quite possibly the best Marvel monthly series on the stands right now. Seriously. I don't think ANYONE can argue that this book is one of the best things going right now, and I can tell you right now: it's kept me captivated for almost two years straight.

Why? It's the total package. Rick Remender, who's also kicking ass and taking names on VENOM, delivers an amazing read that channels the kind of energy you want from a big, bold Marvel superhero book, but with a sleek, modern edge that freshens up classic concepts. The artwork? Amazing. Whether it's Jerome Opena (the current artist), or the other talented folks like Mark Brooks, and Esad Ribic, this book has THE best looking art on the stands.

And, shout out to colorist Dean White, who really brings a unique tone and feel to the book that cannot be matched. I feel that the coloring on this book is very much a big part of the overall feel, and helps capture the book in a major way.

What's it about? It's the kind of story that is reminiscent of traditional superhero storytelling ,where you have a seed of a storyline idea being planted early in the run, and then having it grow as the run progresses. And, now, it's turned into the awesomeness that is the DARK ANGEL SAGA.

Essentially, UNCANNY X-FORCE began (catch up with the first trade paperback, in stock now, collecting the first arc, APOCALYPSE SOLUTION) with a story of APOCALYPSE returning in the body of a child, and Arc-Angel putting together a hit squad to kill him. And, after succeeding in terminating the En Sabah Nur in training, something happens. Arc-Angel begins to change. His actions are being questioned by his team-mates. His temperament is different. And, then physically, he begins to take on a much more APOCALYPSE-esque appearance. Yes, ARC-ANGEL, having once been DEATH, is now the next in line to be APOCALYPSE, and he's transforming before X-Force's very eyes.

So, what to do? That's where we are now with the DARK ANGEL SAGA, and the X-Force's quest to acquire a cure for their friend from the AGE OF APOCALYPSE.

Beginning in UNCANNY X-FORCE #10, the DARK ANGEL SAGA is a great entry point to the series, and we highly recommend hopping aboard and finding out why this series is so well regarded around the shop.

We've got several ways to catch you up, ranging from the first three graphic novel collections, to the individual issues following the first graphic novel, and more.

27: SECOND SET CONCLUDES THIS WEDNESDAY WITH 27: SECOND SET #4
CATCH UP WITH THIS GREAT IMAGE SERIES, AND PREPARE FOR OUR BIG SIGNING WITH "27" WRITER CHARLES SOULE IN JANUARY
One of the biggest favorites coming out of IMAGE in the last year for us has been the rock-n-roll death cult saga known as "27".

27 is the story of a young musician who at the age of 27 finds himself losing his ability to play guitar due to a neurological disorder, and only after making a very faustian deal with a creepy mad scientist, is able to regain his ability to play again.

The catch? He's going to die before he turns 28, and join the legendary 27 Club. You know, Morrison, Cobain, Hendrix, Joplin, and many more. Of course, things go a bit differently for our hero, and now, in second set, we're seeing him squaring off against many analogues and arch-types of the music industry... with the one-hit wonder, Valerie Hayes (think Cyndi Lauper with a whole lotta occultism, and hey, before you rabid Lauper fans say she had a lotta hits: I agree, Lauper rocked), looking to steal Garland's thunder in a competition being watched by an entire world, and judged by the one and only, God of Fame.

It's a wild, crazy story, and we love it, from the frenetic artwork, to the tight plot which is loaded with tons of references for any music enthusiast, 27 is great.

Not reading it? Snag the first trade paperback ( in stock now), and get caught up in time for our upcoming signing with "27" writer CHARLES SOULE on Saturday 1/7.

We currently are well stocked on both the 27 FIRST SET trade paperback, and all 4 individual issues of 27 SECOND SET.

GREEN LANTERN #4 CONTINUES THE KICK-ASS NEW GREEN LANTERN ONGOING FEATURING SINESTRO AS THE GREEN LANTERN
WRITTEN BY "JUSTICE LEAGUE" & "AQUAMAN" writer GEOFF JOHNS!
Lots of awesome stuff coming out of the NEW 52, and Geoff Johns continues to prove this week why he is a true master storyteller with GREEN LANTERN #4.

We've been long-time fans of the work that Johns has done on the GREEN LANTERN stuff in the pre-NEW 52 DCU, and we feel that he's really hitting all cylinders in a major way with his current run on the book featuring SINESTRO as a recently re-instated GREEN LANTERN... in fact, a replacement for Hal.

Of course, Doug Mahnke's kick-ass artwork is helping make this one every bit as enjoyable as the previous GL run, and the current storyline has had us hooked. And, in this week's issue #4, now that they've pillaged and enslaved Korugar (Sinestro's home world), it looks like the fear-mongering Sinestro Corps must face the newly reinstated Green Lantern Sinestro.

Can the renegade Green Lantern liberate Korugar from the army he assembled himself in days gone past?

More awesome space epic goodness from Johns and Mahnke.

Missed 1-3? We've got copies of each in stock to catch you up.

FILM-MAKER GUILLERMO DEL TORO (HELLBOY, PAN'S LABRYNTH, CRONOS) COMES TO COMICS WITH THIS WEDNESDAY'S "THE STRAIN #1" FROM DARK HORSE COMICS
TRY IT FOR ONLY $1.00
Many of you are familiar with the uber talented Guillermo del Toro, and his incredible film work like Pan's Labrynth, Hellboy, and more. And, many of you are probably not the least bit surprised to find out that he's a HUGE comic book fan.

So, it only makes sense that a story from a true master like del Toro would make a perfect fit for Dark Horse Comics.

And, that's what we're getting with this Wednesday's issue #1 of the new series, THE STRAIN, a straight-for-the-throat take on vampires that's unlike anything you've ever seen before.

When a Boeing 777 lands at JFK International Airport and goes dark on the runway, the Center for Disease Control, fearing a terrorist attack, calls in Dr. Ephraim Goodweather and his team of expert biological-threat first responders. Only an elderly pawnbroker suspects a darker purpose behind the event -- an ancient threat intent on covering mankind in darkness.

Folks, this looks kick-ass, and for a buck? How can you not wanna give it a shot?

CLETUS KASADAY RETURNS THIS WEDNESDAY WITH THE SUPERSTAR CARNAGE ARTIST CLAYTON CRAIN IN THE BRAND NEW CARNAGE USA SERIES WITHCARNAGE U.S.A #1
As many of you guys already know, if you grew up reading comics in the '90s, the story of Venom and Carnage was a HUGE impact on our generation. These two over-the-top off-shoots from the Spider-Man books captivated me in a major way as a kid, and I've been so impressed with the handling of these characters by Zeb Wells (AVENGING SPIDER-MAN, CARNAGE) and CLAYTON CRAIN (CARNAGE, X-FORCE: ANGELS AND DEMONS).

Crain, especially, brings a level of detail, and surreal computer realism to the world of Carnage and the symbioses that makes each issue a MUST-READ. And, as HUGE fans of the character, and the way he's been handled recently, we have to say we're pretty pumped about this brand new series kicking off on Wednesday, featuring the recently returned Cletus Kasaay as he rips a mass-murdering trail across America.

Yes, Carnage is back, and he's on a vicious rampage that cannot be matched. The Avengers must go on a brutal hunt to capture the symbiote-sporting maniac, and folks: this one is going to be bloody.

Must-read stuff for any Marvel fan, make sure you snag a copy of CARNAGE USA this Wednesday.

WITCH DOCTOR TPB VOL.1 - ONE OF THE MOST KICK-ASS IMAGE SERIES OF 2011 HITS TRADE PAPERBACK THIS WEDNESDAY, DELIVERING A FANTASTIC BLEND OF OLD SCHOOL HORROR AND REPULSION WITH A MEDICAL PROCEDURAL SLANT
I think the publisher that has impressed me the most in the last few years has been IMAGE COMICS. They seriously have some of the best people in the biz running things there right now, and it shows in all the pure quality projects that they've been putting out.
Witch Doctor was another smash hit IMAGE series that launched last year as the first non-Kirkman book to release on Kirkman's very own Skybound imprint. This title, handpicked by Kirkman himself, really impressed the hell out of a ton of us, and we're stoked to see it hitting trade paperback this Wednesday so all you folks who prefer the trades can check it out.
What's the scoop on WITCH DOCTOR? In a nutshell: it's HOUSE, M.D meets HP LOVECRAFT. But, wait, there's much more to it than that.
Meet Vincent Morrow, a doctor looking for a vaccine... for the apocalypse! In this debut series, Dr. Morrow, a cunning man, encounters medical horrors including demonic possession, an infestation of Cuckoo Faeries, an epidemic that's turning people into fish-people, annnnd.. a magical malpractice hearing?
Want a fresh take on horror comics? WITCH DOCTOR will blow your minds. Clever, well-written, with gorgeous artwork, this is a MUST-READ, Third Eye Faithful, and we cannot recommend it enough.

THE RAY RETURNS THIS WEDNESDAY AS PART OF THE DC NEW 52 WITH THE RAY #1
One of our personal favorites from the '90s was a vastly underrated DC series known as the RAY. A cool concept that never got the amount of attention we thought it should have, the Ray kicked ass.
Now, moving ahead, the Ray returns as part of the NEW 52, and we're shown how Lucien Gates's life is changed forever when he is struck by a mysterious beam of energy that turns him into a glowing gladiator -- and being a human ray of light comes in handy when his city is suddenly under attack from giant, building-sized monsters. Unfortunately, light powers are less than handy in keeping his girlfriend happy during all of this craziness.

FABLES VOL.16 SUPER TEAM HITS THIS WEDNESDAY DELIVERING ANOTHER SLAB OF FABLES GOODNESS
ONE OF OUR FAVORITE SERIES!
Collects issues 101-107! Want to jump onto the monthlies? We've got 108-111 in stock now!
A MUST READ SERIES FOR FANS OF TV SHOWS LIKE "ONCE UPON A TIME"
Woohoo! A new trade of FABLES! We know many of you guys are stoked about this, and so are we, 'cause FABLES is one of those series that just reads so freakin' well in trade, and we cannot get enough of it.
Bill Willingham's incredible saga about a world where fairy-tale characters are real, and act like believable human beings, as they wage war against an adversarial force... and more... has had us captivated for many years now, and we really can't recommend it enough.
To really get into the story of FABLES, it still wouldn't do it justice, 'cause it's one of those comics that's just good.
While we don't want to spoiler anything that's going on in the most recent trade paperback, we will say this about the series as a whole for those of you not already reading it.
FABLES is a long-running comic book series which takes various characters from fairy tales and folklore -- referred to as Fables -- and pits them against a character known as "the Adversary" who's forced them from their homelands, and conquered the realm.
The Fables live in a clandestine community in NYC, known as Fabletown, while the ones who are unable to blend with human society (i.e monsters, anthropomorphic animals, ect.) live at "the Farm" in upstate New York.
The thing that makes FABLES so great is how Willingham reinterprets many characters in a modern, and interesting way. The divorce between Snow White and Prince Charming due to his infidelity. The rehabilitation of the Big Bad Wolf (known as Bigby), who's taken on a human form and serves as Fabletowns's sheriff at the beginning of the series, and much more.
It's a great series, with great storytelling, and a sometimes dark edge to it, sometimes whimsical take... there's really nothing quite like it on the shelves.
Wanna check it out? Snag the first trade paperback (FABLES VOL.1 LEGENDS IN EXILE), and give it a shot.

STITCHED #2 - FROM THE CREATOR OF CROSSED, AVATAR PRESS'S (NEONOMICON, CROSSED) NEWEST JOURNEY INTO THE SURVIVAL HORROR GENRE CONTINUES WITH GARTH ENNIS'S STITCHED
As big-time Garth Ennis fans here at Third Eye, we're totally stoked about the AVATAR PRESS series STITCHED which started up last month.
This brand new survival horror series drops us into the midst of war-torn Afghanistan, deep behind enemy lines, as the surviving crew members of a downed American Blackhawk helicopter face certain death.. until the arrival of the three British SAS soldiers who the chopper crew was sent to extract from unfriendly territory.
Death could find them in dozens of ways, but it's not the enemy fire they need to fear, it's the Stitches. Fearsome, corpse-like dead men who hunt the desert wastes, ripping apart both Taliban fighters and Coalition forces alike.
With very little supplies, six soldiers embark on a flight for survival across a desert littered with the corpse of the mutilated and enforced by the supernaturally-animated 'Stitches.'
This brand new ongoing series delivers the same kind of kick-ass Garth Ennis brand of survival horror you've come to know and love from his work on stuff like CROSSED, 303, PREACHER, CHRONICLES OF WORMWOOD and THE BOYS.
Missed #1? We've got copies in stock to get you caught up.

MARK MILLAR (KICK-ASS, SUPERIOR, OLD MAN LOGAN) did SPIDER-MAN? Yup! Check out this Wednesday's SPIDER-MAN by MARK MILLAR ULTIMATE COLLECTION which compiles his entire run on the Wallcrawler If Spider-Man had it's equivalent of BATMAN: HUSH, this would be it.
You guys know that we're HUGE fans of Mark Millar, and his work on books like KICK-ASS, OLD MAN LOGAN, THE ULTIMATES, SUPERIOR, and NEMESIS, right?
And, this, Third Eye Faithful, is why we're totally stoked to tell you guys about this Wednesday's release of the SPIDER-MAN by MARK MILLAR ULTIMATE COLLECTION which collects the entire Millar run on the incredible MARVEL KNIGHTS Spider-Man series, featuring the artwork of Terry Dodson (DEFENDERS) and Frank Cho (LIBERTY MEADOWS, X-MEN SCHISM).
First off: it's two incredible artists, Cho and Dodson. How can you go wrong? Secondly, it's Mark Millar writing Spidey. That's freakin' gold!
So, what's the scoop on this one?  Peter Parker's worst nightmare has come true: one of Spider-Man's enemies has learned his secret identity and is using that to strike at Peter's family. Now, his Aunt May has been kidnapped -- and his wife, Mary Jane, may be next. Forced into a personal battle against a mysterious foe devious enough to ensnare him in a vicious game of cat-and-mouse, Spider-Man must battle more than a dozen of his deadliest enemies to rescue his aunt.
With the clock rapidly ticking down, will Spider-Man earn his greatest triumph or suffer his greatest defeat?
A literal who's who of Spider-Man rogues, this trade packs in all 12 issues of Millar's run, and features everyone from the Vulture to Doc Ock to Venom, and beyond.
A must-read, and a great gift idea for the holiday season.

BATWOMAN #4 HITS THIS WEDNESDAY DELIVERING ANOTHER ISSUE OF CRAZY AWESOME JH WILLIAMS GOODNESS
JH WILLIAMS's BATWOMAN is one of those comics that's just... amazing. Like, it's really hard to break it down and say oh we like it because of THIS, or oh, we like it because of that, it's just... REALLY REALLY good, and continues to impress us as one of the top DC NEW 52 titles.
A lot of this is due in part to Williams's incredible artwork which switches back and forth alongside the story he's telling. So, if you're seeing Batwoman in her costumed identity, rocking bad guys, and all that.. then, the art is dramatic, painted, and in your face. If you're seeing her in her civilian identity, it's a much more softer, subdued art style with less dramatic flare. It's a perfect storytelling device that helps make the series a really immersive experience.
If you're not reading this one, we HIGHLY recommend picking up issue #1, and giving it a shot. We've currently got 1-3 in stock to get you caught up to this week's #4.

GODZILLA: LEGENDS #2 HITS THIS WEDNESDAY, AS THIS SERIES OF ONE-SHOT STORIES CONTINUES TO SPOTLIGHT MANY CLASSIC GODZILLA MONSTERS
Man, I am a sucker for giant monsters, and IDW does such an awesome job with their GODZILLA comics, that I'm totally hooked on the latest and greatest with GODZILLA LEGENDS.
This 5-issue limited series delivers 5 one-shot stories which focus on some of Godzilla's most classic and notorious monster friends and foes. And, each one features an incredible writer and artist pairing up to tell one hell of a cool giant monster kaiju story.
This issue focuses on Rodan, and dude: Rodan has always been awesome, so you know it's gonna be rad. Plus: look at that killer Art Adams cover!

"PAX ROMANA", "SHIELD" & "FANTASTIC FOUR" WRITER JONATHAN HICKMAN'S RED WING HITS TRADE PAPERBACK THIS WEDNESDAY
IMAGINE "DOCTOR WHO" meets "STAR WARS"
Jonathan Hickman is a for sure Third Eye Favorite, and we're so damn impressed with Nick Pitarra's artwork, that we just had to give you guys the heads up on RED WING in case you missed it when it was coming out in the individual issues (which we do have 1-4 in stock still to get you caught up if you prefer the single issues to trades).
THE RED WING is a crazy, sci-fi epic in true bigger-than-life Hickman fashion, which shows us a war being fought through time, and the fallout from which making historical impacts with each downed star fighter and battle cruiser.
To stay alive in the future, the best fighter pilots in the world not only have to perfect their skills and master their aircraft, they also have know how to travel through time.. and folks, it's no easy feat.
If you've dug Hickman's past work like PAX ROMANA, or RED MASS FOR MARS, you'll love this one. Heck, even if you've never read Hickman before, and you love the alternate history adventuring of stuff like DOCTOR WHO, or the high-flying dogfighting seen in the STAR WARS movies, you'll really dig THE RED WING.

SHAUN:  LAST OF THE GREATS #3 - Nothing beats a good evil SUPERMAN story, and LAST OF THE GREATS is one of the best of those we've seen in a bit.
