Get your copy and have it signed by the creative team of DUANE SWIERCZYNSKI & JOSH DYSART at our FREE COMIC BOOK DAY event on 5/4!
We're totally pumped about the arrival of the HARBINGER WARS this Wednesday from VALIANT COMICS. For the last year or so, Valiant has really been kicking ass as a great alternative publisher putting out top tier superhero books with a slightly different twist.

Edgy, post-modern, and driven by real world events, the Valiant Universe is like a mixing of the high concept sci-fi weirdness of Image hits like SAGA or MANHATTAN PROJECTS and the big, bold superhero action of Marvel Comics.

As an added bonus, we're going to have HARBINGER WARS writers DUANE SWIERCZYNSKI and JOSHUA DYSART at Third Eye on FREE COMIC BOOK DAY Saturday May 4th, so you can get your copy signed by those guys then!

In HARBINGER WARS #1, the first Valiant family crossover event, begins with a bang! A decades old secret is about to put Bloodshot and Harbinger on an inescapable collision course -- and, soon, the most powerful forces in the Valiant Universe will be drawn into a battle without sides, without rules, and without mercy.

Two dozen undisciplined, untested, and untrained superhuman children have just escaped from a top-secret research facility and into the world.

When Bloodshot, Toyo Harada and Peter Stanchek join the chase, will the Valiant Universe be ready for it's first all-out superhuman showdown?

Folks, this is the PERFECT storyline to jump on board the Valiant Universe and give their exciting world a try.

Super-Powers?
We saw some advance pages on this one, and holy crap, were we impressed, or what!?

From the mind of SAY ANYTHING frontman MAX BEMIS comes POLARITY, a manic-depressive trip you'll never forget. Timothy Woods is a bipolar artist stuck in the world of hipsters, meaningless sex, and vain art -- better known as Brooklyn.

But after he survives a near fatal car accident, Timothy discovers that his mental instability is more than just a disorder, and that his bipolar medication hasn't just been subduing depression and uncontrollable mania.. it's been suppressing his powers!

Now, it's time for Timothy to stand up to his disease alongside an onslaught of wretched human villainy as he finally finds his place in the world.

THE AGE OF ULTRON CONTINUES WITH THIS WEDNESDAY'S AGE OF ULTRON #4 -- WE'RE LOVING THIS INCREDIBLE NEW MARVEL EVENT!
We're totally loving Marvel's big Spring event this year with AGE OF ULTRON, as it sets up for the highly anticipated INFINITE storyline that's getting closer and closer.

Imagine the TERMINATOR WARS in the Marvel Universe -- and that helps capture the tone of what AGE OF ULTRON is all about pretty well.

After a VERY shocking reveal at the end of last week's issue #3 (seriously, our jaws were on the floor), we're learning more and more about the nature of Ultron's near-future dominance, and we cannot wait to see where this heads next.

It's one year from today -- the impossible has happened. Earth has been taken by Ultron... and what few superheroes survived, are desperately trying to stay alive.

In this issue, Luke Cage discovers the secret behind Ultron's victory over all mankind, and it's a secret that will have us all questioning everything we know about the Marvel Universe for years to come.

The road to INFINITE gets more and more clear as AGE OF ULTRON rages on.

KIERON GILLEN, writer of JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY & YOUNG AVENGERS, launches a SUPERHERO / HORROR / WAR comic hybrid with UBER #0 this Wednesday
AVATAR PRESS has done some pretty crazy stuff with their survival horror series CROSSED and Alan Moore's now-infamous NEONOMICON, so when we saw that one of our favorite writers, KIERON GILLEN, who's known for his incredible work on Kid Loki /JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY and currently YOUNG AVENGERS, was doing a book for them -- we knew it'd be killer.

This new ongoing series is a shocking blend of war comics, horror comics, and superhero comics, which is reminiscent of stories like IRREDEEMABLE and THE BOYS.

It's the year 1945 and Germany is in ruins. The war int he west can only be days away from ending. Threats of "superweapons" have become laughable --  it's over, it ha to be over.. but it's not.

There's been stories which have mixed enhanced humans and World War 2 before, but there's never been one like this.

Gillen shows us a terrifying world where the Germans use strange science and occult means to create super-soldier killers, and the Allied forces must make their own super-human weapons of war to fight back.

Highly recommended, snag yourself a copy this Wednesday and give it a shot.

SWAMP THING #19 -- A BOLD NEW ERA BEGINS AS "27" Writer CHARLES SOULE begins his run of SWAMP THING this Wednesday!
Meet CHARLES SOULE and get your copy signed at our FREE COMIC BOOK DAY festivities on 5/4/13.
A bold new era begins for one of our favorite DC NEW 52 titles, as rising star CHARLES SOULE, takes over the series, picking up the run from SCOTT SNYDER.

We were lucky enough to read some pages of the book, and I gotta tell ya, if anyone was better suited to pick the ball up and run with it, it's Soule. This debut issue was PHENOMENAL, and captured the eerie horror undertones of the character perfectly, while effortlessly blending it with the DC UNIVERSE.

In the first issue, we're thrown right into the action, as the question is asked: What could SWAMP THING possibly fear more than THE SCARECROW?

And, we also hear that the Man of Steel makes a little guest appearance here.

Featuring the incredible artwork of KANO, this was a great read from start to finish, and we highly recommend it as a great jumping on point for the series.

PLUS: You can meet CHARLES SOULE at on Saturday 5/4/13 at our FREE COMIC BOOK DAY festivities!

THE CLASSIC PULP FEMME FATALE MISS FURY RETURNS THIS WEDNESDAY IN MISS FURY #1
DYNAMITE has been a terrific job of taking classic pulp heroes of yesteryear and bringing them back to the world of comics with an edgy, modern spin while still remaining true to their roots.

This week's MISS FURY #1 brings the return of one of the raddest pulp heroines of all time!

When Miss Fury foils a wartime plot by Nazi secret agents, she is catapulted through time.. or so it seems. Is she really careening from past to future and back, or has she lost her mind?

And if her sanity remains in tact, can one lone heroine possibly hope to end World War II by herself, a conflict still waged into the year 2013?

As witness to generations of bloodshed and violence, Miss Fury has lots of righteous rage.. and her anger is fearsome.

Another great Dynamite pulp revival, snag this one if you're digging series like THE SHADOW, MASKS, and THE SPIDER.

Marvel's red-hot ALL NEW X-MEN continues this Wednesday with ALL NEW X-MEN #10
ALL NEW X-MEN continues to impress the heck out of us with this Wednesday's issue #10, as the best just gets better, and Bendis's compelling new spin on Marvel's merry mutants gets even more interesting.

In ALL NEW X-MEN #10, Cyclops and his UNCANNY X-MEN have made a trip to the Jean Grey School for one reason: to recruit.

Who will join Cyclops and his revolutionary crew? The answer may shock you.

Meanwhile, Mystique and Sabretooth continue to hatch their master plan and  it doesn't bode well for the ALL NEW X-MEN.

This series, folks, has been utterly amazing. Great artwork by Stuart Immonen, great storytelling by Brian Michael Bendis -- it's literally one of the top 5 best superhero comics we're reading right now.

What's the scoop on it? In the aftermath of AVENGERS VS. X-MEN, The Beast decides to try and fix things: by bringing the X-Men, the original team, back from the past and into the present day.

When Cyclops, Jean Grey, Iceman, Angel, and Beast appear in the here and now; they're disgusted by what they've come to find.

A nightmarish future where Cyclops killed Charles Xavier, Jean Grey became the Dark Phoenix, and Angel ended up filling the role of Apocalypse.

And, that, is where the fun begins, Third Eye Faithful, as we see the past history of the X-Men through the eyes of the original team dropped into the modern day.

Great, great book.

Wanna get caught up? We've got issues 1-9 in stock now to catch you up for Wednesday's #10.

FROM THE PAGES OF HELLBOY, ABE SAPIEN GETS HIS OWN ONGOING SERIES BEGINNING THIS WEDNESDAY IN ABE SAPIEN #1 "DARK AND TERRIBLE"
By now, you guys know us well enough to know that we're pretty big fans of Mike Mignola and the world he's created from his HELLBOY comics.

In fact, the most recent venture, HELLBOY IN HELL, has had us totally hooked and craving more Mignola awesomeness!

And, Dark Horse has responded with something totally awesome: an ongoing ABE SAPIEN series! I mean, we love ABE, so this is AWESOME!

On the run from the BPRD, a mutated Abe Sapien traverses a devastated America, with monster corpses scattered around and cities in ruin.

With hints back to Abe's origins, while using the character to explore the strange and occult world that Mignola has built, this new ongoing series looks to be one of the raddest things Mignola's put out in a minute. We're stoked!

We've been long-time fans of Geoff Johns's work on GREEN LANTERN, and this Wednesday's #19 is a GREAT issue to jump back on with, or onto for the first time, Johns's incredible GL series.

All we can say is this: Sinestro. The Yellow Ring. We knew it was going to come down to this.

We are loving the IMAGE series BEDLAM, as it takes us deeper and deeper into the dark psyche of a notorious super-villain known as Madder Red, and his strange case of brain-surgey enhanced rehabilitation.
One part A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, one part DEXTER, with a little bit of The Joker thrown in -- this is a MUST-READ series that delivers on all counts.
What's it about? Fillmore Press was once Madder Red, a homicidal maniac and criminal overlord who terrorized the town of Bedlam for years. Then.. he got better. This is what happens next.

The MARVEL NOW Deadpool series continues to keep us hooked with this Wednesday'sDEADPOOL #7
This current run of DEADPOOL may be one of our biggest favorites yet, as writers Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan continue to make each issue the perfect balance of darkly humorous, totally ridiculous, and action-packed.
This week's issue #7 is a real trip, as it takes us on a flashback to Deadpool's adventures in yesteryear with party hard-era IRON MAN.
And, then, Deadpool is hired by a demon to reclaim damned souls... totally ridiculous, totally fun, we highly recommend getting into the new DEADPOOL run.

The SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN has been one of our favorite takes on the world of Spider-Man in quite some time, and we're loving the direction that the book is heading.
Slott and Ramos are top shelf, A+ team material here, and they're kicking major ass with each and every issue of this red-hot new series which features Doc Ock inhabiting the brain of Peter Parker, and trying to prove why HE is the Superior Spider-Man.
In this week's issue #7, a brand new arc begins, with TROUBLED MIND chapter 1, as Spidey loses his Avenger status, and the public quickly realizing that this is no longer a "Friendly Neighborhood" Spider-Man.

Red is hunting down rogue High Borns, and Robyn's activity since returning to Earth has put the hooded archer on her radar.
Arrows will fly and lives are at stake as these two Zenescope fan favorites clash in the grudge match of the year.

SEAN MURPHY'S STELLAR VERTIGO SERIES, PUNK ROCK JESUS, ARRIVES IN TRADE PAPERBACK THIS WEDNESDAY
We loved this under-the-radar cult favorite from Vertigo last year, and we're totally pumped to have the trade on our shelves this Wednesday.
Murphy's storytelling and artwork are both top notch -- and a perfect fit for this kind of story.
A reality TV show starring a clone of Jesus Christ causes chaos across the U.S of the near future in PUNK ROCK JESUS.
Religious zealots either love or hate the show, angry politicians worry about tis influence on the nation, and members of the scientific community fear the implications of cloning a human being at all -- let alone you know who.
And what effect will this all have on Gwen, the young woman who is selected, through an American Idol-style process, to be the mother of the new messiah?
All this leads to the hiring of Thomas McKael, the clone's bodyguard and a former IRA operative with a turbulent past who must protect the new Messiah -- a baby who captivates the world but grows up to become an angry teenager.
Great storytelling, great artwork, folks, give this one a shot!

JEFFREY BROWN'S DARTH VADER & SON RETURNS THIS WEDNESDAY, AND IT.. IS.. AWESOME!

We love pretty much everything indie all-star JEFFREY BROWN does, but we gotta say: DARTH VADER AND SON is so awesome, it's ridiculous.
In this slick little graphic novel, we're shown what happens when Vader takes an active role in raising his son. What if 'Luke, I am your father' was just a stern admonishment from an annoyed dad?
In this hilarious and sweet comic reimagining, Darth Vader is a dad like any other -- except with all the baggage of being the Dark Lord of the Sith.
Folks, do yourselves a favor, and pick up a copy of this awesome awesome book this Wednesday!
