A Must for fans of the current run of HAWKEYE!
Folks: I know you may be thinking to yourself -- how cool can a book starring the Shocker, Boomerang, and the Beetle really be?
My answer to you? PRETTY FREAKIN' AWESOME! This first issue blew us away, with it's fresh, and innovative tone, combining the sharp writing of IMAGE favorite NICK SPENCER (BEDLAM, MORNING GLORIES) and the stunning, avant garde art stylings of STEVE LIEBER.
It's very reminiscent of Fraction and Aja's work on HAWKEYE, with it's slick artwork, and quirky storytelling, and we loved every second of it.
So, what's the scoop on this new ongoing series? Boomerang and a crew of Superior Spider-Man's deadliest foes have decided to prove that with terrible powers come terrible responsibilities.
A book solely focusing on these often-frustrated, sometimes downtrodden supervillains who yearn for the same kind of fame, respect, and infamy that the likes of Kraven the Hunter, Green Goblin, and others have earned. SUPERIOR FOES OF SPIDER-MAN is a really fresh, and interesting look at the concept of super-villains in the Marvel Universe, and the inclusion of the Superior Spider-Man angle has us hooked, as we've been really digging the series.
Great art, great storytelling, folks, do yourselves a favor, and make sure you give this one a shot this week at Third Eye!

Originally debuting many years ago, the WRATH has been re-imagined in the NEW 52, but staying true to his roots as the definitive 'ANTI-BATMAN'.
The Wrath's backstory involves him being the son of two criminals who find their lives taken by the Gotham City PD. He grows up to pledge himself in a war against justice, and in the process, becomes the anti-Batman.
