EVAN DORKIN & JILL THOMPSON'S TOTALLY AWESOME BEASTS OF BURDEN RETURN IN THE BEASTS OF BURDEN: HUNTERS & GATHERERS ONE-SHOT THIS WEDNESDAY
This is one of our long-time favorites, Third Eye Faithful, and we are so pumped to see something new dropping this week.
First of all -- if you've never read the awesomeness that is BEASTS OF BURDEN, this stand-alone one-shot is a perfect place to give the book a shot.
The town of Burden Hill is defended from monsters and madmen by a brave crew of dogs and cats -- and one werewolf hybrid.
There's some seriously dark stuff in here, so don't go in expecting a total cute animal fest -- but we will say this: the book does have some seriously cute animal moments to balance out the horror elements perfectly.
It's a really unique read, that combines serious scares, the occasional gross-out, and heck, downright tear-jerking moments of strong character development to make for just plain awesome comics.
