Meet George Perez at Third Eye on Thursday 9/25/14!
We're super excited for our huge SIRENS launch party on 9/25 with George Perez, and folks, this Wednesday marks the release of the book he's coming out in support of: SIRENS #1
So, Perez is a man who needs no introduction: his legendary work on everything from THE AVENGERS to CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS to TEEN TITANS has made him a name that comic fans far and wide revere.
However, most folks don't know that Perez has done some downright incredible creator-owned stuff over the years, and his upcoming new series from BOOM STUDIOS is very much in the vain of that, and we could not be more stoked about it, because George's creator-owned stuff has always been some of our favorite!
Perez has a reputation for doing incredible work on strong female characters like WONDER WOMAN and SCARLET WITCH, so when we saw he'd be putting together a team of female heroes that he completely created, we knew it'd be amazing.
In this sci-fi adventure story that spans time and space, featuring a team of female heroes that kick butt across the universe, we're given a cast of characters who harken back to iconic heroines like Princess Leia, Alien's Ripley, Kill Bill's Beatrix Kiddo, and Battlestar Galactica's Starbuck.
As an intergalactic force enslaves planets across the galaxy, the legendary team known only as the Sirens must reunite to save the galaxy: but is that even possible when the Sirens themselves don't even remember who they are?
And, the rest of the universe only remembers them as villains?
This six issue limited series delivers some of the best team-driven storytelling we've seen in a long time from a comic, and it's all written and illustrated by Mr. George Perez!

Folks, I'll just say it: GEORGE PEREZ is coming to Third Eye. That's right: the legendary artist who helped co-create most of the Teen Titans (like Cyborg, Raven, Starfire, Deathstroke and more!), brought the Multiverse to life with CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS, and helped us really, really hate to love Superboy Prime in FINAL CRISIS LEGION OF THREE WORLDS.
Perez is a true Titan (pun intended) in the world of comics, and his fingerprints have been felt on nearly every aspect of both the Marvel and DC Universes for decades.
Heck, the look and feel of most of the DCU's most iconic characters, like Nightwing, is courtesy of Perez's involvement.
So, when BOOM STUDIOS offered us the chance to host a signing event for George's incredible new BOOM series SIRENS... we jumped so hard at it that we practically knocked ourselves cold hitting our heads on the roof!
