WALKING DEAD VOL.18 WHAT COMES AFTER DELIVERS THE NEXT HARROWING VOLUME OF THE ULTIMATE SURVIVAL HORROR STORY
After the shocking events of SOMETHING TO FEAR -- things get even crazier as Rick and the other survivors of WALKING DEAD must accept a new way of life under Negan's rule... but of course, not everyone agrees with how Negan does things.
Over 108 issues in, and WALKING DEAD continues to be one of the best darn comics on the stands, delivering some of the best comic book storytelling around.
Consistency is the name of the game, and this book never disappoints, with each installment leaving us on an even bigger cliffhanger than the last.
We can't go into much detail about WHAT goes down in vol.18, 'cause ya know: there's nothing more spoiler sensitive than WALKING DEAD, but we will say this: things are getting extremely interesting after a slightly slower 17th volume.
Wanna get on board the series? We've got many different ways for you to hop aboard, whether it's via the Compendiums or the individual trades, they're all always kept in stock to make jumping on easy.
For just $60, the compendium is definitely the best value, as it collects the first 1000 pages of the series (aka the first 8 graphic novels worth) into one volume, the second compendium has the next 8, again for $60, and then you'd just need volume 17 & 18 to be completely caught up.
Following the series in trade and wanting to jump onto the single issues?
We've got issues 109 and 110 in stock to catch you up to where Vol.18 leaves off (issue #108).

EAST OF WEST #3 -- The biggest and best IMAGE release since SAGA continues to impress the heck out of us with it's third issue this Wednesday!
EAST OF WEST has got to be one of our top 3 favorite new books of 2013, without a doubt. If SAGA was our big favorite last Summer, this year, it's gotta be EAST OF WEST.
Jonathan Hickman and Nick Dragotta are weaving pure comic book magic with each and every issue, crafting the kind of one of a kind, unique storytelling that grabs a hold of you and does not let go.
One part dystopian, futuristic post-apocalyptic sci-fi, one part Weird Western madness, this series reads like Mad Max meets Manhattan Projects by way of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.
In EAST OF WEST #3, Death's reign of terror over THOSE WHO RULE continues, as the forces of the END TIMES continue to work to bring about the Apocalypse.
It's the end of the world: someone dies, someone lives, and someone falls in love.
What's the scoop on EAST OF WEST? Picture this: the world ends at the height of the Civil War. The country is divided into seven nations, and the good guys? The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.. minus one.
Now, Death, War and Famine find themselves roaming the landscape, and bringing terror into the hearts of the men who rule the 7 Nations of America in the year 2020.
It's quite possibly the most brilliant freakin' comic on the stands right now, and we're loving every second of it.
From Hickman's incredible storytelling to Dragotta's gorgeous, sweeping artwork... it's pure comic book goodness.
Wanna get on board? We've got issues 1 & 2 in stock now to catch you up for this week's #3.

In issue #1, the legendary Lee Weeks, returns to his favorite character, Daredevil, to tell the new story: ANGELS UNAWARE.
A blizzard brings New York to a stand-still -- and a young patient lies on death's door unless Daredevil can get to him in time.

IMAGE'S HIT NEW SUPERNATURAL NOIR TEN GRAND CONTINUES THIS WEDNESDAY WITH TEN GRAND #2
We really loved the first issue of TEN GRAND from IMAGE last month, and are totally pumped to see issue #2 hitting the shelves this week.
This fantastic series marks the return of SUPERMAN EARTH ONE and RISING STARS writer J. MICHAEL STRACZYNSKI to creator-owned work, and we're loving it, as that's where he really shines best.
In TEN GRAND #2, we're promised a lot of things: one cult church where incantations are encoded into the playlist; one flesh-dwelling, food-obsessed demon; one seer capable of perceiving the spirit world but blinded to this one; one missing woman; one murder; one angel with an agenda of his own; and one rendezvous between supernatural investigator Joe Fitzgerald and the woman he loves, now deceased, in what may or may not be heaven.
And, folks, it delivers every single one.
What's this series about? Joe was a bad guy. He killed a lot of people for money in his life, until one day, he and his wife, the one pure thing in his life, found themselves meeting an early demise.
Now, Joe works for the angels, see, each time he takes out a bad guy for them; he gets five minutes in heaven with his wife. But, only five minutes -- so the cycle has to keep going forever.
Great artwork, great storytelling, we can't recommend this one enough.

A samurai epic of staggering proportions, the acclaimed Lone Wolf and Cub is the gold standard for what a samurai comic is.

Featuring the never-before-told origins and history of the Mad Titan, we're shown just what makes Thanos who he is, and along the way, how this ties back into the upcoming MARVEL: INFINITY event which Thanos is going to be playing a major role in.

We're totally hooked on this impressive debut from musician Max Bemis of SAY ANYTHING.
Focusing on a young man living in Brooklyn who finds his own bipolar disorder leading him into otherworldly powers, POLARITY delves deep into what someone would do with the strange and unusual abilities we often take for granted in the world of comics, while also exploring the heavy ramifications of bipolar disorder.
As Tim starts to become comfortable with his new powers, he begins fighting the good fight unconventionally, attacking evils relevant to people of his generation.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mays seems to have his own plans for Tim.
Teeming with dark humor and commentary on the life of an indecisive 20-something in a way that you would expect from the frontman of Say Anything.

And what better way to seize control of the secret society of secret societies than by unlocking their most secretive of secrets on the secretest place on Earth? And who but the Valiant Universe's premiere team of conspiracy-busters can possibly stop her?
Folks, Archer & Armstrong is a favorite among the Valiant line-up, and is a great example of the post-modern, cutting edge superhero storytelling these guys are bringing to the table.
Imagine the iconic scale and shared universe feel of Marvel, but with the fresh concepts, and risk-taking of IMAGE comics. That sums up Valiant very well.
And, as they kick off several new story arcs in their titles, they're going to be releasing special 8-Bit throwback variant covers imagining their titles as classic video games.

ASTRO CITY RETURNS THIS WEDNESDAY WITH ASTRO CITY #1 -- JUMP ON BOARD THIS INCREDIBLE SERIES WITH A FRESH NEW RELAUNCH OF THE TITLE!
Read On To Find Out Why This is One Of Our All-Time Favorites!
Kurt Busiek's ASTRO CITY was one of my own personal favorite comics growing up in the '90s, and when I heard it'd be relaunching and returning under DC's VERTIGO banner, I pretty much lost it with excitement.
Why is ASTRO CITY so cool? Okay, picture this: take every comic book arch-type of all time, from every comic book universe, and then populate a world that spans from the Daily Bugle to Arkham Asylum, and that's ASTRO CITY.
Imagine SUPERMAN behaving in the most iconic, yet fascinating way you've never seen him portrayed, or what if Batman's reasoning for hunting evil at night was due to an affliction that left him a vampire forced to prey on the blood of evil?
The series is just so freakin' well written, and well put together that we really do love everything about it, and I'm stoked to be able to get the chance to turn you guys onto it this week.
In the very first issue, which is totally new-reader friendly, the Ambassador (kind of a mix of Galactus, Silver Surfer and Kirby's NEW GODS) comes to Earth, and an ordinary man is caught up in a cosmic conflict.
Featuring the Samaritan (i.e Superman) and Honor Guard (the Justice League), as well as the debut of some very interesting new characters.
Astro City is the ultimate comic for people who just plain love comic books.
Jump on board this Wednesday.
