INFINITY CONTINUES THIS WEDNESDAY, WITH CHAPTER 1.5 IN AVENGERS #18 by event writer JONATHAN HICKMAN
Dude -- the start of INFINITY floored us last week with how much we enjoyed it. Every single page felt like the definition of comic blockbuster, and with the way it ended: we're not gonna lie, WE WANT MORE NOW!
The saga continues in this week's AVENGERS #18, written by INFINITY scribe JONATHAN HICKMAN, and delivering a special interlude chapter in between issues 1 & 2.
Deep in space, the Avengers join forces with the Council of Worlds as they declare war on the cosmic invasion force of THANOS.
Meanwhile, the decimated SKRULL empire finds itself rising from the ashes.... and, making an uneasy alliance that will shock you.
Folks: we love this. The way that THANOS is being portrayed is reminiscent of Stannis Baratheon in GAME OF THRONES. An obsessed warrior king who seeks to please his beloved lady, Death, and will stop at nothing to reunite the Infinity Gems to do it.
With Hickman writing both AVENGERS and NEW AVENGERS, it'll be great to see these intermediary chapters flesh out the details surrounding INFINITY.

JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK #23 *TRINITY WAR CHAPTER 5* -- THE TRINITY WAR HEATS UP, AS WE GET CLOSER TO FOREVER EVIL!
The biggest DCU storyline in ages has been TRINITY WAR, and we've been loving every second of it. Imagine if Marvel's CIVIL WAR story arc went down in the DCU, but with even greater stakes -- that sums up TRINITY WAR perfectly.

From there, we've been taken on an incredible ride, as the Justice League goes head to head with the Justice League of America, and the mystical heroes of JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK are caught in the middle!
With DC's VILLAIN MONTH, and FOREVER EVIL just around the corner -- we know that this one is going to be a must-read, and cannot wait to see how it plays out.
