Folks, here is what I can say is probably our own personal most anticipated new release of 2013.
I mean: it's the return of Neil Gaiman to THE SANDMAN, and that, that my friends, is a huge, huge deal.

SAGA #15 -- Third Eye's favorite monthly series continues, as SAGA delivers that unique blend of FIREFLY-style sci-fi & GAME OF THRONES fantasy storytelling perfectly again and again!
Folks, by now, you know: this is our favorite book. Bar none, it's something that the entire team of Third Eye can pretty much agree is amazing. Every single issue. We can't deny it: it's that good, all the way through.
We're not even going to tease you with the details of this week's issue #15, but we will say this: it's awesome, as expected. Heck, even more so!
Not reading SAGA? You need to be. This series about a man and a woman from two different alien races that just so happen to be at war, and how they've fallen in love and had a kid that has pretty much sealed their fate as wanted crimnials by both of their planets is THE BEST in terms of storytelling, artwork, and well, just about everything.
Imagine the snappy dialogue, and clever character-building of Joss Whedon's FIREFLY mixed with the mature themes and political elements of A GAME OF THRONES. Toss in the epic scale of the STAR WARS TRILOGY, and you've got SAGA.
Great writing, great storytelling, this is MUST-READ stuff

IMAGE COMICS'S DYSTOPIANS SCI-FI SPACE MARINE EPIC PLANETOID ARRIVES IN TRADE PAPERBACK THIS WEDNESDAY
We loved last year's PLANETOID from IMAGE COMICS which brought us a very ALIENS / WARHAMMER 40K esque riff on science fiction with it's barren landscapes, harsh techno-organic inhabitants, and the main character's space marine pasts.
In PLANETOID, Silas, an ex-soldier turned space pirate, finds himself stranded on a mysterious planet in alien territory.
As he explores long-abandoned industrial ruins of the planet's surface, he will have to fend off roving cyborg militias and a hostile alien military with a bounty on his head.
Ultimately, Silas will have to build a coalition amongst the planetoid's nomadic tribes in order to make a final stand against the larger tyrannical forces that rule over them.
Written and illustrated by Ken Garing, Planetoid is a MUST-READ for fans of MOEBIUS, Brandon Graham's PROPHET, films like ALIENS, and the dystopian settings of WARHAMMER 40K.
A dark, unrelenting science fiction story that's action-packed, we give this one a HIGH recommendation.

It's been a minute since we've paid close attention to the SUPERMAN titles, but folks, I gotta tell you: things are about to get really interesting with the upcoming KRYPTON RETURNS story arc that starts in this week's ACTION COMICS ANNUAL #2.
Last year's H'el on Earth was a sleeper hit, and now, the killer new Superman villain's machinations are still being dealt with, as we see his eventual return.
What does this mean to the Universe? Superman, Supergirl and Superboy are enlisted by the Oracle to go back to their homeworld and correct what the villainous H'el has done.
This epic adventure spans eons, from Krypton's savage past of Clones to the very minutes before Kal-El's ship is sent into space.
You only THINK you know what happened in the last days of Krypton.

We're TOTALLY digging the heck out of WILD BLUE YONDER, and we're stoked to see the third issue dropping this Wednesday.
In a post-apocalyptic future where the Earth is pretty much uninhabitable, and humanity has taken to living in the skies, WILD BLUE YONDER is loaded with sweet plane dog fights, air pirates, and ray guns. It kicks butt in every sense.
In this third issue, Tug learns that before he can become a full member of the Dawn, he will have to pass one last test -- getting past Scram.
Plus, the crew of the Dawn will be put to the test when an unexpected attack comes from the irradiated Sky-Pirates.
