We've loved pretty much everything writer Steven T. Seagle has worked on in the realm of comics, be it his now-classic Vertigo run on HOUSE OF SECRETS, his stunning take on the X-Men, or his fascinating reimagining of Superman in IT'S A BIRD, so when we saw he had something new on the way from Image -- we had to take a look!
In this buddy comedy with serious commitment issues, we're taken into a world of self-doubting superheroes, and the real world troubles they struggle with.
In Imperial, Mark is a couple of weeks out from the biggest day of his life -- his wedding day -- but then fate steps in and pulls the rug out from under him.
He's faced with an impossible choice: marry the woman who loves, understands and puts up with his (many) human failings? Or, leave her at the altar in order to take up the helm of one of the world's one and only superheroes: Imperial?
Up until now, there was nothing in Mark's life to suggest that he was the least bit remarkable, so why would the retiring Imperial choose him to be the protector of all mankind? Why now? And how will learning to shoot laser beams from his eyes impact Mark's rehearsal dinner schedule?
If the choice is superhero cred vs. true love -- does Mark disappoint the world.. or the woman of his dreams?

We're all about ADVENTURE TIME, and we've loved Rebecca Sugar's incredible work on it for a while now, so it's no secret that we're big fans of her series STEVEN UNIVERSE.
In this comic about a boy and his friends living in a small beach community, who just happens to have magical powers and fight monsters on the side, we're taken into a super-fun, totally unique new format (very reminiscent of zines from the '90s), and immersed in this super fun world.
In issue #1, Steven really wants to enter the annual Beach City Bike Race but everyone else is just a tad worried.
Steven just makes the cut off for age, which means the other bikers will be a lot older than him.
Connie agrees to help Steven the old fashioned way through good ol' exercise, but Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl have other plans!
