ALEX & ADA #1 -- CRAZY AWESOME NEW IMAGE COMICS TAKE ON ANDROIDS & RELATIONSHIP
Join us this Saturday for our signing with JONATHAN LUNA (THE SWORD, ULTRA, GIRLS) & SARAH VAUGHN.
Folks, we are so pumped to be hosting creators Jonathan Luna & Sarah Vaughn for their brand new IMAGE series ALEX + ADA this Saturday at Third Eye Annapolis.
We've been big fans of Luna's work for a long time, with IMAGE favorites like THE SWORD and GIRLS being mainstays on our must-read lists. Now, to see him returning to comics with an exciting new IMAGE series like ALEX + ADA is pretty darn cool.
In ALEX + ADA, we're shown a sci-fi drama set in the near future. The last thing in the world Alex wanted was an X5, the latest in realistic androids -- but when Ada is dropped into his life, will Alex keep her?
Luna knows how to craft eerie yet compelling stories and characters that grab a hold of you and do not let go. His work on books like GIRLS has proven that he can balance a chilling plot with emotional character development, and strong dialogue.
We're totally pumped to have both Luna and Vaughn signing at Third Eye this Saturday, and would love to have you guys come out and join us for the kick off of this exciting new IMAGE series.

INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US Writer TOM TAYLOR takes over EARTH 2 with this week's EARTH 2 #17, and starts off an exciting new arc!
Do not miss this -- jump on board with this issue!
Folks, we're liking a lot of the new decision that DC has been making as we go into 2014. With last week's killer DAMIAN: SON OF BATMAN, the exciting RETURN OF KRYPTON debut, and of course, SANDMAN OVERTURE -- it looks like they're really getting to what they do best: good stories with iconic characters!
This week, DC's EARTH 2 series, which explores the alternate world of DC's NEW 52, where the JUSTICE SOCIETY defend the Earth instead of the Justice League, moves into a bold new direction with new writer TOM TAYLOR.
Taylor wowed us all with his exciting work on INJUSTICE, as he took what could've been just a bland video game spin-off and turned it into an exciting Elseworlds-style comic where the war between heroes was brutal, and bloody.
Now, we have a hunch that Taylor will be bringing some of that magic to the NEW 52 with EARTH 2 this week.
In EARTH 2 #17, the first issue of the new run, the EARTH-2 Batman fights to keep Brutal and the forces of DARKSEID from taking complete control of Earth -- of course, there's a pretty shocking twist on this; so we'll keep mum about the rest!

EAST OF WEST #7 CONTINUES THE INCREDIBLE IMAGE COMICS ONGOING DYSTOPIAN SCI-FI FUTURE WESTERN WE ALL KNOW AND LOVE!
Third Eye Faithful: we love the hell out of Jonathan Hickman and Nick Dragotta's EAST OF WEST. It's everything that's incredible about comics.. and then some.
So, whenever a new issue arrives, we've gotta talk it up -- 'cause if you're not yet reading EAST OF WEST, you're missing out.
In this week's issue #7, Death begins his great hunt, and lines are drawn among the Chosen.
Meanwhile, the Ranger picks up the scent of his prey -- and begins to close in for the kill.
What's EAST OF WEST all about? The war ended -- but it didn't. At the height of the Civil War, the Four Horsemen are born; but one is missing.
And, the world's slow death begins.
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse roam the Earth, signaling the End Times for humanity -- and the only hope anyone has is the Man They Call DEATH.
One part DARK TOWER, one part dystopian post-apocalyptic science fiction thriller -- EAST OF WEST is a MUST-READ.
Wanna catch up? We've got issues 1-6 in stock to get you current with 7, or you can hop on with the trade, collecting 1-5 for only $9.99; then snag issues 6 & 7 to get up to speed.

LONGSHOT SAVES THE MARVEL UNIVERSE #1 -- THE CULT FAVORITE MUTANT RETURNS IN THIS 4-ISSUE LIMITED SERIES THAT DELIVERS A SURPRISINGLY AWESOME FIRST ISSUE!
You gotta admit: having your mutant power be "luck" is pretty freakin' cool. And, Longshot, who hasn't really been seen much in the last few years, is definitely pretty lucky with this killer new limited series -- which surprised the heck out of us by how much we dug it.
In LONGSHOT SAVES THE MARVEL UNIVERSE, when someone is targeting the lucky for death, it won't take long before the luckiest X-Man, Longshot, is in the killer's sights.
But, things quickly go from bad to worse as super heroes, villains, all of SHIELD, and even COSMIC ENTITIES have it out for our pal Longshot.
Is this the end of the mutant that pretty much defines Marvel Comics in the '80s?
This was a blast -- a real fun, clever read with a sense of humor similar to that of HAWKEYE or SUPERIOR FOES OF SPIDER-MAN.

RILEY ROSSMO (BEDLAM, DIA DE LOS MUERTOS) RETURNS WITH DRUMHELLAR THIS WEDNESDAY
We're huge fans of artist RILEY ROSSMO, with the awesome work he's done on books like BEDLAM, GREEN WAKE, DIA DE LOS MUERTOS, and so many others.
So, whenever Rossmo decides to put out something new -- we tend to notice.
This week, he drops his latest book on us, with DRUMHELLAR, and it looks AWESOME.
In DRUMHELLAR, a paranormal detective is haunted by shock-induced visions that drive him to a small town in South Dakota filled with werewolves, demons, and his ex-girlfriend.
Sounds like a great little modern horror comic -- and folks, when it comes to horror; Riley is a modern master. Dude's art is PERFECT for it; and this sounds like a perfect reason to see him draw all sorts of kick-ass creepy crawlies!

PROTECTORS, INC #1 -- TEN GRAND & SIDEKICK Writer J. MICHAEL STRACZYNSKI teams up with all-star artist WHILCE PORTACIO FOR A NEW TAKE ON SUPERHEROES!
A MUST FOR FANS OF "SUPREME POWER", "IRREDEEMABLE", " RISING STARS" & "THE BOYS"
We've loved pretty much everything J. Michael Straczynski has done... like, ever. Seriously: dude is a talent and a half. So, when we saw he had another killer new IMAGE title launching alongside his already awesome THE SIDEKICK & TEN GRAND -- we knew we were in for a treat.
In PROTECTORS, INC, we're shown a world with superheroes but without super-villains. Heroes with corporate sponsors and far too polite rivalries and sporting franchises. Heroes without anything or anyone to fight.. until one of them is murdered in ways that could only have been accomplished by someone with equal powers.
Now, solving that mystery falls to Lieutenant Detective John Riley, an ordinary man whose investigation takes him into a strange and dangerous world light years beyond his abilities to understand and very likely far beyond his capacity to survive.
The trail leads to a fifty year old secret that could threaten the very existence of Protectors, Inc, an impossible love affair, and a serial killer whose work is not yet finished.
Folks: if you love darker takes on superheroes, like IRREDEEMABLE, or THE BOYS, then you will totally dig PROTECTORS INC, which revisits Straczynski's themes seen in RISING STARS and SUPREME POWER.
A fantastic first issue with some stellar artwork from Whilce Portacio; we highly recommend it!

Third Eye Faithful, if you're not reading MIGHTY AVENGERS, then you are missing out on one of Marvel's most exciting new titles. This book has been quickly climbing up our to-read list, and we're loving the blend of sharp storytelling, killer art, and dynamic team-building that it's bringing to the table.
In MIGHTY AVENGERS #3, this INFINITY tie-in, has THE BLUE MARVEL joining the fight -- and we're stoked. This is a super rad character who hasn't gotten enough spotlight in the last few years, so it's cool to see him taking a major role in MIGHTY AVENGERS.
Meanwhile, a plague of demons is raging through Manhattan, and the only Avenger who can defeat them is -- SPIDER-HERO? What?
Seriously, who is that guy?
Highly recommended, Third Eye Faithful -- wanna catch up? We've got MIGHTY AVENGERS 1 & 2 in stock now to catch you up to this week's #3.

Man, we are huge fans of Hickman's work here at Third Eye, and the stuff he's been doing with his incredible MANHATTAN PROJECTS series has been straight up out of this world.
In MANHATTAN PROJECTS volume 3, Hickman and Pitarra continue to deliver the awesome, as we're shown just what happens in a world where the research and development department created to produce the first atomic bomb was a front for a series of other, more unusual programs?
The acclaimed FEEL GOOD, BAD SCIENCE epic series continues, with VOLUME 3 collecting issues 11-15.
So, what's it all about? MANHATTAN PROJECTS is a story about an alternate history of the end of World War II, in which real historical characters like JOSEPH OPPENHEIMER, ALBERT EINSTEIN, RICHARD FEYNMAN, and HARRY S. TRUMAN.
